Steam Remote Play?
I've never played this game before, so I don't know how it's played. Can I buy this game and then play with friends over Steam Remote Play? Does that work?

Hi. Short answer: yes, one copy of the game is all you need.
Long answer:
I literally bought the game today and only played 2 separate sessions with my brother. I'm not sure why exactly is Remote Play Together a thing here, because only one person being able to see the screen is the entire point.
Only the defuser actually looks at the screen and handles the bomb itself.
The "Expert(s)" read the instructions from the manual, which can be physically printed or just displayed on a website/in pdf on another screen.

As I understand it, with remote play you can give keyboard and mouse control over to your friend (who's playing then as the defuser). You are then playing with the manual so I guess honor system in not looking at the screen (print out a manual or open it on a phone etc.).

that sounds good on paper, but I'm pretty sure if you tabbed out then anyone who had control of the game would lose the ability to control it too
I learned this when using Remote Play with a friend, playing The Wolf's Bite, which only needed mouse controls, but whenever I would Shift+Tab then they would lose the mouse control, and iirc he also lost the mouse controls when I tabbed out too

tl;dr unless you have a separate device to look at the manual on, remote play isn't viable because tabbing (or shift+tabbing) out of the game removes the other person's control on the game

Print the manual, use your phone, use a tablet, have your other players buy the game too, buy the game for your other players.

Man, I need to know, I will play with friends at discord, I bought the game, my friends want to be the defuser, can they play with my game throw the remote play? I will use the papers or pdf. If it doesn't work, they will net to buy the game. So, the remote play, work?
