On some of the 6.x bombs, we would have the expert flipping back and forth between three or so modules while waiting for other to refresh, while the defuser was independently working on the password between the expert's commands. Also, 7.1 (Hardest one we've done so far) features 5 Simon modules, 1 strike, and 1:30 to complete it all. We had the expert on immediate standby for individual colors if the defuser couldn't remember (Which is super stressful in itself), but for the most part, the defuser just needed to memorize what colors were what, and then solve them 2 at a time. We simply didn't have time to wait for the pattern before moving on.
So sometimes, the defuser has the hard job, and sometimes, the expert does. But while it feels easy now, and it feels like you have the communication optimized, I can nearly guarantee that you don't, and if you keep playing through the harder bombs, you'll be pretty surprised at how much more efficient you'll need to get. :)
We're looking forward to what the community comes up with but we'll also be using the Workshop in order to explore adding new content without risk of disrupting the core gameplay experience of a game we feel is already pretty solid.
