I assure you we consider a lot of words that haven't ended up in the game. The tricky thing is that each word we add has to work with all of the verbs. Add to that all verb and word combinations. Sometimes that's tricky to find something that works both with gameplay, and makes sense as a sentence in the English language. :)
Thank you for the feedback though! I can't promise anything, but we've been thinking about adding more words.
Oh ok. Then please add some foundational even if it has limited use. But then again, basic use is still good. Human, food, follower, infidel...
I noticed I can't get people to share food to underfed so many die of starvation.
the tree swam over the flying ant
see didn't make sense.
so what if words or combinations exist that don't make sense? A mad god might give weird nonsense tasks and it would surely turn out funny if the followers do whatever they might interpret into it.
I can't promise anything at this stage, but I will bring it up to the team. New words is always risky. :)
Well, one common critique of the game is that it's hard to understand the commandment system, and we've actively tried to make it as understandable as possible. Purposefully allowing nonsense feels like we would shoot ourselves in the foot. It might be funny for you, but not for our bottom line as a company. ;)
Permanent commandments are unlikely, but we will improve the commandment tablet and the association logic for the next update. We're also talking about adding more words and maybe one more verb. Don't want to give away too much right now, but I think you'll like the next update when it comes, stay tuned! :)
I haven't even bought the game yet, and I'm impressed that you're trying to make sure that sentences make sense lol. I've seen so many English games that have lines, letters, etc, that made me cringe at how bad they were! I guess you'd say that they were in American, not English....."I ain't gotta do nuffin" makes me cringe when I hear it.
I'm also impressed that you guys took social media into account, and blocked certain words. I'm a pasty white girl, and there's words that I find offensive that aren't even directed towards me. But bc I know the meaning, I don't want to hear them, and I dam sure don't want them in YouTube video's where my kids can see them!! They hear enough from just me, I don't need them picking up stuff I wouldn't say.
Yeah, thanks. :)
We removed the censoring/word filtering, however, since it didn't make much sense in a single player experience and the filter we used was very jumpy at inoffensive words. At first we did it just for the Twitch-crowd but we realised that it's more important for the streamers to police name conventions rather than us.
