Hi everyone! We're IV Productions and Associazione Audiogames, the small Italian team behind Nicolas Eymerich Inquisitor, Audiospeed, Blind Quest and many other audio games.

For years we wanted to tell a story about a hero who isn't one. We wanted someone who gets thrown into a cell and, instead of swearing revenge, hears the narrator say: "You're probably about to die. What a day." That's how Gunnar Malakor begins, and it sets the tone for everything that follows.

Every room, item and character had to work as sound first. We kept descriptions short so you can move quickly through a place, and we gave every character their own voice. The narrator and the characters never share a line, so you always know who is speaking.

We also decided that failing should be fun. Plenty of silly ideas end with a joke at Gunnar's expense, not with a game over.

We're polishing Part 1 for a release in Q1 2027, and we're already writing what happens to Gunnar after he leaves Lysanthir.

What made an audio adventure stick with you? What drove you mad? Was it puzzles you couldn't figure out, too much text, or getting lost? Your answers in the discussions will shape the last months of work.
