The game doesn't support that native resolution son.
Until either of those two things happen, you're stuck with 4k downsampled to 720p or 1080p.
Any game should be playable at any rendering resolution. Oh, and the game already can render it at 4k, so there isn't much excuse except laziness.
No, but square should be able to...
Believe it or not, game development isn't easy and porting can be a ♥♥♥♥♥, especially with licenses and Sony's platforms since they sneak pretty deep in your code and can't be removed that easily.
This is a very good port but also an old game. 4K didn't exist back then and they won't remake all their textures just for a handful of whiny elitists because most of their audience don't have 4K.
I am not talking about remaking textures, i'm talking about the rendering resolution... jesus
EDIT: http://steamcommunity.com/app/340170/discussions/0/528398719809935336/ Hey look, some resolution options. Now I can play at my screen res of 2560x1440. <_<
I'm not an elitist and i'm happy with the port other than the resolution options. The game isn't that old. You guys are being fanbois.
