Any chance of a high rez texture pack being released?

Casue some of these textures are FUGLY. Most of the buildings look like they had crap slung at them.

Not yet, but for now enable 16x Anisotropic Filtering in your control panel and enable High Quality Texture Filtering. Makes a little difference :)

Yeah, ive noticed a few textures that clearly came straight from the PSP. And the difference between the main characters and literally everyone else is severe.
A texture pack would do the graphics alot of good.

High res texture pack is always a possibility if some people get to it, but this is not exactly the kind of game that usually gathers modders' interest. It's usually either games with actual mod support or games with actually dated graphics like Thief 3 or System Shock 2 that get stuff like that.

If you were asking if Square Enix would that, well, for that there really is no chance. If they had any interest in doing that, they would have done it when they actually released this HD remaster.

Frankly I think the ppsspp emulated version is the superior one. The difference from reworked models to old models is irritating. Id wish they had left the old psp character models so the game has consistency. Or at least they could have spent one or two days making new models for the doors, the biggest offender on the academy.

The problem is that it takes you out of the game and breaks immersion when you have pretty ffxiii level characters with ugly minecraft level backdrops and npcs.

You know, I love this game and just might actually think it is the best FF game to be released in a long time. But that does not change the fact that I can see. And I see really ugly textures that were designed for 720 on a three inch screen blown up to 1080 on a 47" screen being marketed as an HD remake and by god, regardless of my FF fanboy level, I'm going to say something about it.

That's what I was asking, because selling this as an HD remake seems like false advertising that they should make right.

HD mean the Resolution of the tv not the graphic itself. it was not upscale to 1080p it look like ♥♥♥♥ on ps4 and pc

HD just so you can see the image more clear on bigger screen


GTA san andreas HD on the xbox 360 was never change the graphic they just made fit the screen in full on big tv without being blurry

It's great to have an opinion like that and I totally agree. I'm just directing my post to some crazy extremists out there who are like "OMG only 720p, not gonna buy the game anymore" kind of crazy. lol... The game is still playable and it's fun.

To be honest, if it was only 720p, I wouldn't buy it. Resolutions lower than your native resolution stretched to fit look horrible.

The textures already craptastic from the beginning? why blame the resolution?
Is it a hd? yes in case you wondering hows the psp graphics.

Almost every "HD" release from SE look like this.
