[Solved]Trojan.Ciusky.Gen.13 virus???
When I am downloading the game, bitdefender keeps blocking it because it detect a virus. I want to know why out of all my exptensive game collection this one has that issue.

Because the detection itself a false positive.

You could try reporting that to them so they whitelist it or/and whitlist it yourself in meantime so bitdefender stops preventing you from playing game.
I had this, too.
I let my anti-virus-software remove the files, I've de-installed the game and tried to re-install it. Now I can't install the game anymore:violettgrumpy:
If anti-virus removes files you can try using steams function to verify game cache.

This should redownload files that were removed (it saves you from redownloading entire game) but only if anti-virus was ether disabled or you set to whitelist said files so it ignores it and doesn't remove it again or block from redownloading from steam servers.

Bitdefender it is too intrusive. It fails to download even when I whitelisted the whole steam drive. I simply removed it. Get the file in the compresition tool they have and emailed it to them. along with a screenshot of the antivirus showing that there was a virus in that file. The usually say it is poor development practices, but I dont believe it.
Yea, that is what I meant by reporting it to them for them to whitelist it.

Usually it means compressing said file and email it to them, after they check it they should issue new update that tells it to ignore it and safe file.

In most cases signed software licenses prevents most false positives but sometimes something happens and legitimate files get tagged regardless (it could be even something as simple as expired license etc.).

In those cases there is no other choice but report it to be false positive to them.

Maybe this is why Cursed Crusade also from SE keeps deleting its exe file?

Hi Zatone,

Thank you for your patience.

The analysis of the file has been completed:

The file is not malware and the detection will be fixed in a couple of updates.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any other inquiries in the future.

Have a great day.

Best regards,
No need to copy paste your correspondence with them since we already knew it's false positive.

Just edit title and add solved in it and finally let this thread die.
