Games like huniepop but with fully animated scenes (endings)
Is there any? Just static pictures is a deal breaker for me...

I see your point and agree about the animated 2d, but Huniepop also came from a kickstarter project, where it was very sucessful and even over sold very good in Steam and DRM Free versions.

Look, Huniepop is good the way it is. Period. I doubt too much that they would add any content from now.

My point here is Huniepop 2. It would be very bad If they just keep the same original formula, changing only the girls. This gotta have to be a huge upgrade than original, i really think that they have to use much more animated content, not only sex scenes

I'm hoping that Huniepop 2 does more than the first game, too. Except in my case, I'm more hoping for changes/additions to the gameplay and dating mechanics. Again, while I like the sexy stuff, it was the match-3 that drew me in the most (along with the artstyle and the girls' personalities (except, again, Audrey)), and it'd be pretty sad for me if they decided to ignore improving on that aspect in favor of introducing animated sex scenes that are more "take it or leave it" for me. As I said before, I know where to look for sexy stuff, but a match-3 system that's given me more challenge than Bejeweled and Puzzle Quest? Not very often you come across that, and I'd like more of it.

And I kinda forgot that Huniepop had a Kickstarter campaign (I even bought the digital art book and saw the folder for the promotional images). I'm pretty sure Huniepop 2, however, DOESN'T have a Kickstarter campaign, meaning that unless Huniepot decides to start one up partway through development, they're confident that they have enough to make the sequel (considering that, as mentioned in another topic, they made over 800k sales on Steam alone).

Yeah, I have every concern you have too...

But i think you are understimating the sex scenes hehe. Think of it as any game ending...a game that you have spent hours playing, a great game, but with a poor ending...this is how i felt with Huniepop.
I think this would upgrade the game´s lore and strenght even more the girl´s personalities if well done.

Summertime Saga is a good example to you understand what i´m saying. Play it if you can, it´s a great game. I doubt there´s a richer visual novel/adventure out there, it has a lot of content already. I think you will understand me after playing it.
Please, note that i´m not comparing both games, they´re really different. I´m comparing the stuff that make you get into the game.

Okay, I know about and have experienced good endings in games (and endings that are bittersweet. The true ending for Azure Striker Gunvolt left me with mixed emotions of relief and sadness), and I know about endings that just plain suck (see: Final Fantasy X).

But, see, how you and I see the "ending" for Huniepop differs GREATLY. For your view of the ending, it's HEAVILY based on the fact that there's no animated sex scenes in the game, and that you went in EXPECTING them without question (much like every diehard Final Fantasy fan dives into those games expecting the best graphics quality hardware can handle, with story and gameplay being an afterthought that surfaces after they've taken in enough of their eye candy). Me? I came into this game FULLY AWARE that this wasn't your run-of-the-mill H-game (which have animated H-scenes for days that would NEVER be allowed on Steam uncensored) nor meant to be purely pornographic. So for me, I wasn't jumping in expecting fully-animated H-scenes right in my face. I expected only three things: good puzzle mechanics, dating, and seeing both beautiful images and lewd images of my favorite girls (and the Godless of Love once she came to the table as the toughest challenger in the game. Seriously, that alcohol tolerance made having high starting sentiment costly). Long story short, I was ultimately satisfied after I beat the Goddess' challenge (which I chose to tackle head-on) and filling the gallery (again, though, didn't like that I had to deal with Audrey to accomplish it, but who hasn't had a point in a game that they didn't like enduring?), and I'd do it all again without regret.

One thing I DO regret, though? Dealing with the REVERSE of what you presented: a game that could very well have a GREAT ending, but is SO BAD, BORING, AND/OR UNENJOYABLE that even REACHING the ending is a miracle. The mature non-Steam example I speak of? If I remember the name correctly, "Camp Pinewood". Seriously, I knew that it was meant to be a "sexy" dating sim filled with characters from various Western cartoons when I downloaded it, but that still didn't keep me from being BORED the majority of the time, because not only was there very little story outside of the "quests" (and the dialogue wasn't very entertaining, either), but there was little to even DO in the game. I ultimately never finished all of the quests nor reached the game's ending, because I was too bored to even CARE about reaching that point. And the one sex scene that the creator DID animate in the version that I played? Not. Worth it. I deleted the game from my computer ENTIRELY after that. You would probably follow the game just to see if the creator animates more scenes to satisfy your craving for them, but I have no plans to ever play it again, especially since Huniepop was MUCH more satisfying even with static images.

Same with House Party. I've never played it (and likely never WILL), but I'm pretty sure the only reason it has so many positive reviews is because it's a "Steam game with sex in it" (and other games (ex: Ladykiller in a Bind and Kindred Spirits) already beat House Party to that, despite not being animated). If it wasn't for THAT, it wouldn't have ANYTHING going for it compared to the other generic-looking Unity projects, since the game itself looks poorly made. I know it's in Early Access, but still. One year, and it's only now approaching 0.10.x (which, if I read right, has been delayed TWICE now (let's see if it takes a leaf out of Mighty No. 9's book and does a third delay))? Pretty sure other 3D indie games would be at about 0.3 or 0.4 by that point. 0.2 as worst if it was a project that was particularly ambitious.

Don't get me wrong. If Huniepot can manage to fulfill both improving the match-3 and dating mechanics AND having animated sex scenes (WITHOUT having to heavily censor them or, more likely, remove them ENTIRELY from the Steam and GOG versions to avoid another "Hot Coffee mod" fiasco) in Huniepop 2, then that would be great. But I'd be just fine if they decided to stick with static images and put the effort required for animated sex scenes towards having good art and great gameplay. Either way, as long as they still have the beautiful artstyle and challenging gameplay that I like, I'm going to ENJOY myself.

And let's just hope that Summertime Saga really is as good as you say. I'll forgive any bugs I encounter since it's still a game in development (might wait to see if a new non-Patron version comes out soon so that I'm not encountering already-known bugs, though), but if I play it and feel that animated sex scenes are all it really has going for it, I assure you that it will share a spot with Camp Pinewood in the nearest digital graveyard.

P.S. Since WHEN did sex scenes in ANY non-Hentai game symbolize the strengthening of a character's personality, OR serve as a means of building on a story's lore? In most cases, a character's personality is fleshed out DURING the course of a game's story (usually H-scenes are done just to give players some eye candy and don't build personalities THEMSELVES), and even in visual novels, sex is more often the RESULT of the bond between two characters reaching its climax. As for lore, that's something that builds up REGARDLESS of whether or not two people have sex. Sure, there might be occasions where a critical plot point comes up WHILE two characters are sharing an intimate moment, but it's never been a REQUIREMENT OR RULE for lore-building.

Honestly, the lore of Huniepop is fairly simple to understand anyway: you're a guy (or girl) who absolutely sucks at wooing girls, and with a bit of help from Kyu slowly turn into one of the best ladykillers that she's ever trained (even wining over non-human girls). And the girls' personalities are present and fleshed out LONG before you take them to your bedroom through dates and general conversations, so the only real kind of "personality" you'd be able to draw from an animated sex scene is what kind of sex they like (as if Huniecam Studio didn't tell you later on), and whether they're a dom or a sub. There's REALLY not much else personality-wise that you can draw from that.

I do understand people preffering to have static images instead of animated scenes at the expense of fun.
but in an unrelated topic, I had found myself more aroused at Beli eating junk food than having sex with her... damn why she could not moan like when you give her a corndog when you are spending the night with her?
