We hope you’re all enjoying Resident Evil 0! While we hope all of our fans will have a great time with the game, there will always be some cases here and there where the game may not function correctly under certain environments and / or hardware combinations. That said, we’ve set up this feedback thread for you all to share any technical issues you may be having with the game. We’ll use this thread as a central repository for tracking these problems, and pass on the information gathered here to the development team so they can investigate.

Before providing reporting further, please ensure you've followed the steps below to rule out problems with Steam or the game’s files:

Ensure game files are intact using Verify Game Cache

1) From your Steam Library list, right-click on Resident Evil 0 / biohazard 0 HD REMASTER and select Properties.
2) Click the LOCAL FILES tab.
3) Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..." and allow the validation process to run its course. Please disable or shutdown your anti-virus while this process runs.

This process allows the Steam client to scan every single file you downloaded for this game, verify checksum of each, and compare that against the file manifest data on Steam's content server. If the file is missing or has a different checksum value, you will receive a message stating "X files failed to validate and will be reacquired." What this means is that some files have either been deleted, or may have been corrupted. Click “Close,” and Steam will automatically download and / or replace the problem files.

Reinstalling your video card drivers

We also recommend making sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. Some high end integrated graphics chips and modern laptop class discrete GPUs may work but have not been tested, nor are they officially supported by Capcom.

If you still experience crash issues, you may want to try performing a clean installation of the driver set. This will remove any extraneous driver DLL files or game profiles that existed with the previous driver installation.

Important! Lastly, please don't forget to reboot Windows upon completing the driver installation. This will help reinitialize the driver and the graphics card using the new driver.

Reporting crashes

If you still experience poor framerate, “slow motion” effects, crashes, or other issues, please help the dev team by providing detailed information below.

The more samples and data points we receive, the better we are able to narrow down and determine the root cause of these problems. Here’s what we need:

A) Your System Specs
1) CPU name & model
2) Name / model of the desktop or laptop (if available)
3) Graphics card / chip model and the amount of VRAM
4) Video driver version number
5) System memory size
6) OS version (Windows 7, 8, 64-bit/32-bit, etc.)
7) Anti-virus software name and version

A good deal of this information, such as the graphics card model and VRAM, are available by running a DxDiag report. For more information on how to run this report, click here[www.fuzeqna.com].

B) Specific issue
Please share your specific issue and the location(s) where you’re experiencing the issues – for example, if you’re having problems with the framerate, is it happening constantly, or is it during certain cutscenes, during gameplay, etc.
If the game is crashing, it would be super useful if you can share your app crash log file via downloadable link using any one of the popular file hosting services such as DropBox, GoogleDrive, OneDrive, etc.

C) Detailed reproduction steps, if consistently reproducible
This step particularly is very useful for the development team. The more detailed info you can provide, the quicker the team can reproduce the error state and (hopefully) fix the issue.

Whenever accessing save files, I receive a notice "Saved data is damaged and could not be loaded." which then requires me to wipe the save and begin again. This happens from restarting the game or even reloading a file on death.

Steam lives on D:\ which is an SSD. Have rechecked downloaded files.

Edit: Patch that has come down this morning appears to have fixed this issue. <3

1. ALT+TAB unpauses the game
2. Make a control scheme like RE1, having B/O to run and X/Square for inventorey is awful
3. T-shirts doesnt give me the option to download just an option to "finish"
4. When I ALT+TAB out (when it actually doesn't unpause) the game will close automatically by itself.
5. I didn't get the costumes for having both RE1 and RE0

Im having the same problem... really? i wanted to finish the train part without saving, and then in the manssion i try to save but i cant, the game only sends me a error message :/ and when i try to load the savedata the game only show me the same message "Saved data is damaged and could not be loaded." and then the game closes... crap

The whole lurker frog animations are way too fast, the collisions of the figures doesn´t match while the death animation plays, the jump cycle of the frog is totally wrong, when it jumps from the platform above the player, it looks like it falls down from there like a wet sac. And also the possibility to push/move the frog with your player character like it was possible in the GC and Wii ports is missing. Please Capcom fix this whole animation, and change it the way it was like in the old titles. I bought the Remaster especially for this death scene animation. But the way you changed it is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Change it the way it was like in the GC and Wii ports.

B)Specific issue

-No matter how low i put my video settings, having a lot of framedrops and slow motion, same problem in both Remaster, but Zero has a worst performance than ReHd Remaster

you guys have to fix this game ASAP, its a shame how the PC players are being trated !

it might be intentional and not a bug but still missing effect no metter how little importance it has is not good.

It's really not that big of a deal, as someone who usually craves good graphics, I have no problem with this effect not being present on PC.
Besides, console users probably get DoF to distract them from the 30fps cap ;)
