Resident Evil 0 / biohazard 0 HD REMASTER Bug Reporting Thread
Report in, Bravo Team!

We hope you’re all enjoying Resident Evil 0! While we hope all of our fans will have a great time with the game, there will always be some cases here and there where the game may not function correctly under certain environments and / or hardware combinations. That said, we’ve set up this feedback thread for you all to share any technical issues you may be having with the game. We’ll use this thread as a central repository for tracking these problems, and pass on the information gathered here to the development team so they can investigate.

Before providing reporting further, please ensure you've followed the steps below to rule out problems with Steam or the game’s files:

Ensure game files are intact using Verify Game Cache
1) From your Steam Library list, right-click on Resident Evil 0 / biohazard 0 HD REMASTER and select Properties.
2) Click the LOCAL FILES tab.
3) Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..." and allow the validation process to run its course. Please disable or shutdown your anti-virus while this process runs.

This process allows the Steam client to scan every single file you downloaded for this game, verify checksum of each, and compare that against the file manifest data on Steam's content server. If the file is missing or has a different checksum value, you will receive a message stating "X files failed to validate and will be reacquired." What this means is that some files have either been deleted, or may have been corrupted. Click “Close,” and Steam will automatically download and / or replace the problem files.

Reinstalling your video card drivers
We also recommend making sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. Some high end integrated graphics chips and modern laptop class discrete GPUs may work but have not been tested, nor are they officially supported by Capcom.

AMD Drivers[support.amd.com]
NVIDIA Drivers[www.nvidia.com]

If you still experience crash issues, you may want to try performing a clean installation of the driver set. This will remove any extraneous driver DLL files or game profiles that existed with the previous driver installation.

Important! Lastly, please don't forget to reboot Windows upon completing the driver installation. This will help reinitialize the driver and the graphics card using the new driver.

Reporting crashes
If you still experience poor framerate, “slow motion” effects, crashes, or other issues, please help the dev team by providing detailed information below.

The more samples and data points we receive, the better we are able to narrow down and determine the root cause of these problems. Here’s what we need:

A) Your System Specs
1) CPU name & model
2) Name / model of the desktop or laptop (if available)
3) Graphics card / chip model and the amount of VRAM
4) Video driver version number
5) System memory size
6) OS version (Windows 7, 8, 64-bit/32-bit, etc.)
7) Anti-virus software name and version

A good deal of this information, such as the graphics card model and VRAM, are available by running a DxDiag report. For more information on how to run this report, click here[www.fuzeqna.com].

B) Specific issue
Please share your specific issue and the location(s) where you’re experiencing the issues – for example, if you’re having problems with the framerate, is it happening constantly, or is it during certain cutscenes, during gameplay, etc.
If the game is crashing, it would be super useful if you can share your app crash log file via downloadable link using any one of the popular file hosting services such as DropBox, GoogleDrive, OneDrive, etc.

C) Detailed reproduction steps, if consistently reproducible
This step particularly is very useful for the development team. The more detailed info you can provide, the quicker the team can reproduce the error state and (hopefully) fix the issue.

Thank you for your patience and support!

- Capcom Customer Service Team

Please note that this thread is only for posting issues with the game and specifications; in the interest of helping the development team better investigate these issues, any extraneous discussion or derailment may be removed.

Game runs fine, but your puzzle is broken. At least MY copy is broken. At the water treatment facility, right after the cutscene where you see billy in the water, then you gotta fix the power supply, it won't work.
When I select a point to restore power, only that one dot will light up green, and it won't spread out like it should. I choose the points needed to complete the puzzle, and nothing happens, it says there isn't enough power.
I viewed many playthrough videos on how to complete this puzzle, and it does not function the same way as the playthrough. What the ♥♥♥♥.

were you able to get around this? I have the same problem and im stuck here.
After I get the Facility Key the screen turns black and nothing happens. The game crashes
I am getting a black screen after the capcom logo. I've tried to install, reinstall, but nothing. My specs should be able to run it fine no problem, considering I've ran it before.
*** Unable to progrress in the game due to a bug. ***

At the Factory, after retrieving the turntable key and using it on the control panel, I exited the room to go to the turntable platform, however suddenly the game showed me the end of a cutscene of a boss/monster and the screen went black for around 5 seconds. I also received the achievment at that point saying that I've cleared the Factory, when I clearly didn't.

Once the screen cleared the character model was all black and there was no turntable present even though I had inserted the key into the control panel and raised it.

+ I have verified game files through steam.
+ I'm not a beginner at troubleshooting games.

*** Please release a patch for this issue, I've seen other people encountering the same bug.
Download this game for dolphin 5.0 emulator, you can choose render the game in resolutions up to 4K and beyond. I've patched this game with the russian download but really at the day it's a waste of space.
Anyone else noticed this?

At the Training Facility - Medicine Room. "The broken Mirror near the door, when you interact with the mirror it says

"It's an old, dusty suit of armor - you can't even see your own face reflected"

What Armor? It's a broken Mirror...

I think they messed up the text. it should say this instead since it would make more sense.

"It's an old, broken mirror - you can't even see your own face reflected"
sometimes, when I pick some item, o read a file, the game freeze, control+alt+supr, return to desktop, then erturn to the game and the game is running again...

what happens??
I see Capcom never replied during the previous 1.5 years. This game is not keyboard friendly, and even after figuring out the (twisted) way to change controls, the hardcoded buttons make everything a mess. Why are there 3 buttons for action, shoot and confirm? it was always a single button for all classic RE games, on PC and consoles. Who binds ALT as a menu to exit the game while ESC does nothing?
Cutscenes for Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered are off sync with the audio by seconds. Is there a fix?

Cutscenes for Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered are off sync with the audio by seconds. Is there a fix?
Each cutscene has two files. a silent video and an audio. One may be able to merge them with a progam like Cyberlink powerDirctor (an expensive Video Editing program), replace the audio files with 0kb dummy files and hopefully no longer have audio/video desync issues, but this is still theory, as sadly I had to abandon my cutscene audio fix and FPS boost project.

I was mucking around on a trial version of power Director some time ago and the trial expired and I haven't got the money for it. I ended up merging the audio and video files of the intro of RE1HD Remaster, and played the file with MPC-HC with Smooth Video Project to interpolate to 60fps while recording with shadowplay, before running the output through to Power Director again and smoothening up the image to have a remastered 60FPS video. The whole process including setting up, rendering and recording took 2 days for a short cutscene so the project would be epic and would possibly end up costing me a CPU or two, from months at 100% usage.

This is from RE1HD Remaster but the same trick can be done with RE0HD remaster as Capcom chose the same method of cutscene audio/video splitting.

I wanted to make a fix mod to not only fix the desync issues for both RE1HD remaster and RE0HD remasterbut make the videos 60FPS too, but because of both financial constraints and poor health I had to abandon it with only the intro cutscene processed.

tanto Re evil 1 y zero estan mal optimizados :steamsad:
It's a Crapcom game, ergo it's abandoned at launch. There will be no bug fixes or optimizations. Look at how much the RE1HD bug thread has grown, but no patch and no reply from Crapcom.

Such as it is, such as it always shall be.

Legend tells, from the ground Crapcom passes over, no grass shall ever grow.
