I saw your thread before launching the game. I started playing and everything seemed fine. Then I reached the leech man cutscene and afterwards I got odd green lights and color issues in all the screens.
I haven't tried the solutions myself, I'm going to do so now and I'll report back if I find a fix. I saved my game, quit then start it back up and when I load and exit the save room there are the green lines, so if I find a solution it should be easy to check.
I only briefly tested it, running around the train. I'm planning on playing the full game so I'll report back if I run into any more issues.
I just got my Steam Deck earlier this year, so I'm new to Linux. I'll go over the steps as an idiot new user for a potential idiot new user.
-You need to be in Desktop mode.
-For the install to work Steam needs to be shut down.
-Go into the lower left and open what would be the windows tab. Its the Steam Deck icon in the absolute lower left. Open it. The search bar, "discovery bar" will be in the upper right.
-In the discovery bar type: ProtonUp-Qt
-Install it, then launch it.
-You'll get a small window pop up. Under "Install for:" choose Steam if it is not already selected.
-You'll see a few items below that. Don't worry about them though, below that click on "Add version".
-For "Compatibility tool" select "Proton".
-For "Version" click on the box and then scroll all the way down. Select "Load more"
-Once again open "Version" and scroll down and select version "7-49".
-"Install". This will take a moment as the install bar fills.
-Go ahead and close ProtonUp-Qt and start Steam back up.
-On Resident Evil 0, right click on it and select "Properties".
-Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
-Select force the use of a specific version and select the 7-49 version we installed earlier!
-Close properties and launch the game! You may notice it taking a while to launch. Don't panic! It takes a minute or longer to launch. It SHOULD work for you now!
If you feel like I treated you like a moron in that explanation... apologies... but I assume a lot of you are new to Linux / Steam Deck (Like me!) and might have already had issues with the way some people leave certain steps out.
Keep this Proton-QT app handy, as it may help you with other games that are 'unsupported'!
EDIT: The second time I launched to play the game it loaded MUCH faster! So that initial long wait after launching the game is no longer present!

Shadow has a minor line glitch and it ONLY happened in that one specific room. Literally walking out of that open door in the background and shadows were working fine.
Why would that fix anything?
Found it on Re0 texture glitch or something on youtube.
