Keyboard with tank controls should be more than fine but I suggest using an xbox 360 controller.
Also, I think you can't use the mouse.

Nah, the mouse can be used. I play just fine with keyboard and mouse. The controls are similar to REmake and I've played that without any problems once you used the strange wasd configuration within the game. Of course there another option to change that configuration, I think?

Actually after about thirty mins on mouse and keyboard I got used to it. Tried using my ps4 controller later and actually found the mouse and keyboard to be easier. The controller settings for this game make no sense and feel awkward. I tank keyboard and mouse and do just fine

because RE hdremaster it didnt work on pc for me
it just showed mouse cursor on screen when trying to aim

You CAN'T AIM WITH MOUSE COS IT HASN'T FREELOOK! The only thing you can do with the mouse is top shoot with the LMB. You just point your gun in a direction and hope for a critical hit.

you bring up your weapon with RMB but don't aim around with it. A & D to turn, S & W for up and down.
