They won't, but modders will.

The door skip mod is basicly ruining your game. What does doors opening do? It loads the other side of the door, so with that mod, all it is doing is slowing down your computer.

No it doesn't. There's a mod for ReMake, and it takes 2 seconds to go through doors, without the mod it takes about 7. If your PC struggles to load it, it's officially slower than a Gamecube and you need to upgrade.

The mod for ReMake should already work for this game too, since it uses the same engine. If not, there will be a mod within 2 hours of release, same as ReMake.

People seem to have mixed opinions about the door skip mods. People hate how long it can take to go through a single door so they love the mods that makes them skip that and just go straight through without Watching it open.

On the other hand theres the people who Hate those mods because they mess with speedrun times and Mess with the leaderboards (But lets be honest, there ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up day 1). Either way one will probably come Most likely by a modder Called Fluffyquack/Sectus who had the REmaster One out within the 1st day.

The speedrun community is smart enuff to have different categories. So everone can be pleased.

You really shouldn't use the mod till after the first playthrough. The door opening sequence adds to the suspense.

^ 90% of the new crowd that will play it give a ♥♥♥♥ about suspense I suppose.

Only regrets I have about using the doorskip in RE1HD is that the game apparently counts the ~7 second door transition time into your total, which means some of the achievements/unlocks (for beating in under 3hrs etc.) are by extension made a lot easier when this is reduced to about 0.5 seconds per door.

Still, hell of a lot better than arbitrarily sitting around and twiddling your thumbs waiting on extended loading sequences when we're on Hardware these days over a decade later from the original launch that doesn't require them at all.

When you've already completed the game, suspense doesn't matter. It just becomes a chore staring at a door slowly opening over and over again.

Never really considered any of the RE games to be 'suspenseful' anyway. Wasn't exactly like Outlast or Amnesia or Alien Isolation where I was on in a constant state of suspense.
Was more-so playing up the namesake of the genre by doing the whole 'survival horror' thing, IE: I haven't saved in a while, I'm on orange caution, no healing items left, got a handful of shells left in my shotgun, and there's 6 rooms presumably full of those insta-decap hunters (Which have annoyingly enough been removed in the REmake..) or something between me and refuge. That was what I enjoyed about the original game in '96, not sitting there on the edge of my seat watching the door sloooowwly open up each and everytime.

Insta decap hunters are in Hard mode and Real survival mode. They are a tinted brown color instead of the normal green, and do a jump slash that one shots you from 100% health.

Ah, so it's only restricted to a certain enemy type and on a certain difficulty now? Bleh. So much unnecessary dumbing down and I never even saw them do this when I played those modes for my 100%.
And as far as I can tell the other times I've brought this up and talked about it with others, the actual decap animation and move is completely gone now anyway, replaced with a generic looking claw attack.

Yes, unfortunately the head does not get decapitated. It is a jump slash move that splurts blood out of the throat, but the head stays on.
