Quite simple... Either you go for a blind run (~ 10hrs... ) or you've already played the heck outta the game while it was on GameCube and now you're just speedrunning it (~ 3hrs... in 60 FPS... )
4-6 (walkthrough)
2nd time I played Resident Evil it took me 4 hours. I knew more of what I was doing, but there were differences since I used Jill instead of Chris. Third time I played Resident Evil it took me 2.5 hours. I knew exactly what I had to do with each character. I was gathering key items as I went, avoiding fights I knew I could avoid, and knew exactly which key items to pull out of an item box and when. Very little backtracking.
The answer is simple.. if you have so much problems with boring puzzle adventure games. Why do you even try to play them? You better be off ignoring the game entierly. There is no need to play a game if you only like brainless action. And that's totally okay. Not every games is for anyone. But I acknoledge your entusiasm and your will to finish it. But no shame in watching a lets play instead ;)
It's a puzzle game. Many many puzzles, it requires cooperation. You have to babysitt and think for two characters. I'd say 60% puzzle, 40% action.
