You shouldn’t waste ammo on all the Leech zombies that you come across during the game, it’s better to run past and then there should be enough ammo for all the bosses.
i barely used any ammo in the first place for the regular zombies because i learned from resident evil hd remaster that it's better to simply run past them or dodge their attacks.
edit: i just saw that you have 100% completion on several games, may i ask which game was the hardest to complete 100%?
If this is your first playthrough and you chose Hard, you should have saved in different slots so that you could reload an earlier save instead of having to restart the whole playthrough. Blind hard playthrough is definitely no joke in this game.
Final boss can't be really killed by weapons. You just need to have enough ammo/fire power so that Billy can distract it while Rebecca takes care of the valves.
on normal.
since you find almost in every single room 3 ink ribbons in this resident evil part of the series, i ofc saved my progress every single time i could.
i mean the first queen leech boss after the second proto tyrant, and yeah i know the trill with that you cannot really kill the final boss and that you only have to distract it, i know that from a speedrun video which i btw used to get faster through the game because on keyboard and mouse this game is terrible to play on...
and tbh idk exactly where i could've saved even more ammo during the game because like i said to the other guy, i've learned from the previous resident evil part(that it's better to run past the regular zombies) and thats why i should actually have more than enough ammunition left for the bosses themselves, but i just didn't have it, which i still can't explain to this day.
i mean at this point it also wouldn't make sense to replay the entire game because i already saved as much ammo as possible - i even unequipped the guns of my second character so that they cannot use any ammo but yeah, it's kinda frustrating because i was literally 3 minutes away from the final boss AND ending IF i would've beaten the queen leech boss.
and tbh RE1 was wayyy easier than RE0 imo.
which RE part is your favourite one? mine is definitely RE7 and thats also the only one i did speedruns with.
whats wrong with RE3 remake? i only heard many times that it's kinda short compared to all other RE parts.
what do you think about the rumor that RECV should come 2024 as the next remake and after that RE9?
and what do you personally like more, the "over the shoulder" view or the cctv view? i prefer the first person view(from RE7 and 8) but i'm also okay with the "over the shoulder" view.
So no pistol rounds, no shotgun shells? What about Molotovs? They dont do alot of damage, they are slow and akward to use, but given, that you have the QL almost over the edge, they might be enough.
Oh, and keep in mind that all weapons except the grenade launcher, rocket launcher and the molotovs do less damage the further you are away from the target.
This can downgrade your magnum shots quite a lot.
Combat strategy that worked well for me is to sandwich the Queen. Give the grenade launcher (and some Molotovs) to the AI and use the magnum yourself. The magnum is the only weapon (asides from the rocket launcher) that has stopping power against the Queen. So you can interrupt most attempts of attacking the AI.
Now the only thing left to do, is to get the queen between yourself and the AI. This can be tricky or very easy. Depends on whom the Queen goes for first. Usually I order the AI to stay put from the start and try to get behind the boss.
i know.
no pistol rounds.
no shotgun rounds.
no molotovs
i know that as well, thats why i almost stood in the QL, i have seen that in a speedrun video.
i actually did that in the first 2 tries, i gave billy the grenade launcher(because he can tank more damage than rebecca obv) like i have seen all that stuff in the speedrun video(s).
"Usually I order the AI to stay put from the start and try to get behind the boss."
i did the exact same thing.
here's the speedrun video i have watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFAS9ETvWUQ
