unable to beat the game because of lack of ammo?
i'm unable to beat the game because i used all my available ammo on the second proto tyrant boss and therefore i'm not able to kill the queen leech boss and now i don't know what to do or how to beat the game because i need to kill the queen leech boss for the shaft keys.

so all together including the ammo which i picked up during the queen leech boss fight, i pumped 6 acid rounds and 13 magnum rounds into the boss but he still didn't die.

and no, i had neither shotgun nor pistol rounds left, i used them all on the second proto tyrant boss.

Have you wasted a lot of ammo on Leech zombie?
You shouldn’t waste ammo on all the Leech zombies that you come across during the game, it’s better to run past and then there should be enough ammo for all the bosses.

actually i didn't waste a single bullet on them after i noticed in a test run(saved the game before i did it) that they tank way to much ammo and then reloaded the last save.

i barely used any ammo in the first place for the regular zombies because i learned from resident evil hd remaster that it's better to simply run past them or dodge their attacks.

edit: i just saw that you have 100% completion on several games, may i ask which game was the hardest to complete 100%?

What difficulty are you playing? Classic RE games allways made a point about trying not to waste resources on unnecessary fights, at least if you're playing on the highest difficulty (Normal mode should give you plenty of room for error).

If this is your first playthrough and you chose Hard, you should have saved in different slots so that you could reload an earlier save instead of having to restart the whole playthrough. Blind hard playthrough is definitely no joke in this game.

Final boss can't be really killed by weapons. You just need to have enough ammo/fire power so that Billy can distract it while Rebecca takes care of the valves.

Specifically from the RE series? Umbrella Corps because it's a dead game with terrible and boring achievements.

on normal.

since you find almost in every single room 3 ink ribbons in this resident evil part of the series, i ofc saved my progress every single time i could.

i mean the first queen leech boss after the second proto tyrant, and yeah i know the trill with that you cannot really kill the final boss and that you only have to distract it, i know that from a speedrun video which i btw used to get faster through the game because on keyboard and mouse this game is terrible to play on...

and tbh idk exactly where i could've saved even more ammo during the game because like i said to the other guy, i've learned from the previous resident evil part(that it's better to run past the regular zombies) and thats why i should actually have more than enough ammunition left for the bosses themselves, but i just didn't have it, which i still can't explain to this day.

i mean at this point it also wouldn't make sense to replay the entire game because i already saved as much ammo as possible - i even unequipped the guns of my second character so that they cannot use any ammo but yeah, it's kinda frustrating because i was literally 3 minutes away from the final boss AND ending IF i would've beaten the queen leech boss.

my first RE was the RE7, the second RE8/village and then i decided to buy all resident evil parts and since then, the hardest part of the franchise was RE1 and RE0 so far, i'm a keyboard and mouse player and those 2 parts are obv for controles, therefore i had an extra hard time which why i used speedrun videos for them to get faster through them.

and tbh RE1 was wayyy easier than RE0 imo.

which RE part is your favourite one? mine is definitely RE7 and thats also the only one i did speedruns with.

I played the original Resident Evil 1/2/3 when I was a kid, so those are my favorites. I really liked Resident Evil 2 Remake, but it's a shame that Resident Evil 3 Remake wasn't very good.

my first RE was 7, therefore it's my favourite lol.

whats wrong with RE3 remake? i only heard many times that it's kinda short compared to all other RE parts.

what do you think about the rumor that RECV should come 2024 as the next remake and after that RE9?

and what do you personally like more, the "over the shoulder" view or the cctv view? i prefer the first person view(from RE7 and 8) but i'm also okay with the "over the shoulder" view.

With 6 acid rounds and 13 Magnum shots (does that include the ammo you can within the boss area?) you should be very close to kill him.
So no pistol rounds, no shotgun shells? What about Molotovs? They dont do alot of damage, they are slow and akward to use, but given, that you have the QL almost over the edge, they might be enough.

Oh, and keep in mind that all weapons except the grenade launcher, rocket launcher and the molotovs do less damage the further you are away from the target.
This can downgrade your magnum shots quite a lot.

Combat strategy that worked well for me is to sandwich the Queen. Give the grenade launcher (and some Molotovs) to the AI and use the magnum yourself. The magnum is the only weapon (asides from the rocket launcher) that has stopping power against the Queen. So you can interrupt most attempts of attacking the AI.
Now the only thing left to do, is to get the queen between yourself and the AI. This can be tricky or very easy. Depends on whom the Queen goes for first. Usually I order the AI to stay put from the start and try to get behind the boss.

i know.

no pistol rounds.
no shotgun rounds.
no molotovs

i know that as well, thats why i almost stood in the QL, i have seen that in a speedrun video.

i actually did that in the first 2 tries, i gave billy the grenade launcher(because he can tank more damage than rebecca obv) like i have seen all that stuff in the speedrun video(s).

"Usually I order the AI to stay put from the start and try to get behind the boss."

i did the exact same thing.

here's the speedrun video i have watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFAS9ETvWUQ

I had this issue as well. Thinking i should play hard mode first being a resident evil lover i made a huge mistake. I got all the way to last boss with not enough ammo to kill him. Its a lesson learned. Now i will redo hard mode and make sure i conserve ammo very wisely. I had no idea ammo was going to be so scarce.
