I'm stuck in the puzzle of the statues

I think it is the worst puzzle of any RE, and I have tried many combinations and to make matters worse the inscriptions on the door do not help much, much less the inscriptions on the statues that do not contribute anything, just to give you a headache.

Question: is it a trophic food chain? or who eats who 1v1, 1v1, 1v1?
And if so, how should I light them?
from the strongest to the weakest or vice versa?

I would like to know how you did it, how you thought about it and if it took a long time.

Weakest to strongest.

Took me longer then most other RE puzzles at first try since....well, you already pointed it out. Dunno how long I sat there, but it was basically trying out the options and at some attempt it worked. Ever since then I know the solution instantly.

Actually just figured this puzzle out, and yeah it sucks. The hint at the door is badly written, and it doesn't really tell you imo if you should light the statues weakest to strongest or vice versa.

To add to confusion horse doesn't even eat the wolf according to the hint, only beats it by escaping it, while others eat the hinted animal. It is doable overall, but quite confusing. Took me about 20 minutes, but I kinda felt I did it by luck because I wasn't confident at how I guessed the order.

Thank you very much, what happens is that I have the subtitles translated into Spanish, the translation and the philosophy of some animals does not make sense, that is why it is better to put it in English since it makes more logic and sense
