No, you dont have to go back. There is a container for the red chemical on both levels of the lab. The bottom one is on the same hallway with the elevator and the upper one is in the lab with the gas chamber.

Btw, if u don't mind me asking again, Im about to fight the bat (playing hard mode now). Based on the guide written by rarestMeow, I need to kill him with Napalm rounds.

Problem is, I already spent it on spiders (facepalm). But I have 20 shotgun rounds. Do u think it's enough for the boss fight?

20 shells would be more than enough yes, but hitting it for full effect might be challenging. Technically you can kill it with all grenades very well. Fire just works best. But the reason behind die Grenade Launcher as the weapon of choice is, that it can stunlock the bat right from the start. That way its dead before the small bats can spawn.
And if you dont have any grenades right now, start the fight with the shotgun and switch to the handgun, the moment the bat is not on screen anymore. (assuming, you are using the modified version of it).

Looks like I made the wrong decision by not bringing pistol. I got GL with two acid rounds and a shotty. XD

Anyway thanks. If things go south I have no choice but to restore my last typewriter which is one hour from my current progress.
