Single Player only.
no steam remote play either. like all my friend can do is watch and not take over the controls either?
It's not like RE5 or RE6, in which both characters are allways present and allways working together within the same map.
During moments in re0 when one character has to do something. The other player can go do something else if possible. It's not like co op wouldn't work. When re0 is pretty much made for CO op.
With re0 if a character needs to do something. Surely the other player could go item hunting or something. It's not like re0 depends on single player moments to much. An when it does happen it's for scripted events. Which re5 and 6 proves can still be done with CO op .
So, I'm sorry but the whole it's not designed for two players thing doesn't hold up. Because, the whole second player AI thing.
The other parts with re5 and 6 partners not always being present because the characters got separated. Thats kinda part of co op gaming which re0 does.
So re0 would be ideal for CO op. Even if the second player could kill zombies to clear rooms that would actually help both players out in the long term .
Shame two player can't be an actual mod. Cause some parts of this game is trash by bad game design. Which two players could fix. But drm by Capcom would make it worse
Really sad, I saw a mod for 2 player co-op but as if you are playing with IA there is the problem that the character controlled by the second player goes off camera and can't pick up objects from the ground it's not that good , really need an online mode complete
You know what makes the ai worse? Capcom had what a decade to update the ai and add co op. Freek capcom added dlc and costumes to the gamecube files :/ If capcom cant patch in a second player. Than, the company is crap at programming.
The fact re0 had a 14 year time gap that allowed dlc to be patched into the gamecube build and extra. I get capcom is cheap and really dumb. But, re5 and re6 did what re0 should have done along time ago. Adding both better ai and adding co-op.
It's litterally you editing the game config files to allow a second player and button mapping :/
The ai in re0 is so dumb they walk into zombies, block the player, intentionally get you killed, and when rotated to fight a zombie the ai usually just lets takes the bite. I'm not sure if capcom ever updated the ai but its annoying how many deaths is because, dumb ai.
With the puzzle piece puzzle. I swear the ai for some reason gets stuck at the desk behind the white piece. An because, the characters have to cough the controls get screwed up. Causing even more unfair deaths because the ai undid the setup you had going on.
As much as people laugh at re5 ai. At least the ai at least tries to help you and does a good job defending you . Which is more than you can say about, re0 ai. Even re6 as crazy as it gets. The ai really should have been used in re0 hd.
Can you name one section in RE5 or 6 where one of the characters becomes unplayable or vanishes from the game? Both characters are allways present in RE5/6, even when they get separated for a moment they're still both playable and doing things in a somewhat different area of the map. Players never lose control of either character.
In RE0, there are instances where one character is temporarily not playable. Billy doesn't exist until Rebecca meets the first Mimicry Marcus. One character must wait in a locked room while the other defeats the Stinger. Rebecca isn't playable when Billy fights the Centipede, and later when she's hanging from a broken floor and Billy needs to act alone to rescue her. Billy is not playable for the entire Factory section, which Rebecca must handle alone including the first proto Tyrant fight.
Re6 has similar puzzles where the characters were isolated to do there own things such as the door puzzle in leons story near the big fish area, the one area in Sherry's campaign where they got kidnapped . Making the characters have to do there own thing.
There's a lot in re5 and 6 where characters get separated which is similar to re0 which allowed co op to work. The fact a button to move the AI partner in re0 even exist. Might confirm the CO op mechanic was rushed or cut to keep the horror vibe . Personally im leaning on the rushed game end since re0 was made in under 1 year
