I haven't played 3make yet because of the negative reviews (will probably buy when it's around 15$) but i was never impressed with Nemesis. After 3make, many seem to have been reminded that Nemesis wasn't that good to begin with. Without nostalgia glasses Nemesis is basically an action packed expansion of RE2, nothing groundbreakingly new nor interesting in it.
RE0 is just baffling, like how could they go so wrong with this game after REmake it's like they didn't learn anything from previous RE games.
Yes, i know that which is why Code Veronica got the short end of the stick, it's budget lowered and was exclusive to the Dreamcast which is why many never played it and ended up not caring for it becoming the most underrated game in the series.
-I've never found streets and alleyways in RE games scary or interesting. I prefer indoors and more spooky locations, and RE0 has got more of that.
-Never liked RE3 dodge mechanics.
-I don't mind RE0's lack of item boxes, actually enjoyed the extra planning and not being able to hoard everything I wanted.
Best parts of RE3 are Nemesis and the alternative paths/endings, but I prefer RE0 for the overall experience.
I agree with all of your points except the lack of item boxes, in my opinion it forces you to keep some items/weapons close or else you have to backtrack a lot.
This could've worked on the N64 as the game was originally intended it would probably have been smaller in scale but on the gamecube the game got much bigger areas with so many doors and stairs it's really not fun to backtrack that much.
But what I really, kinda, hate about 0 is the A.I. partner and double inventory management I just beat 0 HD Remaster on Hard mode and boy was it a nightmare especially on the final boss fight I really wanted to stop playing.
Both RE0 and RE3 are equally frustrating to me but I never finished RE3 and did finish 0 so I guess I enjoyed 0 just a bit more lol.

Except that we're comparing RE3 for ps1 not the remake lol.
I agree the hookshot was incredibly annoying you never knew when you actually needed it and my guess is they did that purposely to force you to backtrack all the way back with newly spawned eliminators in the hallways.
The game should've made you choose either item box with 6 inventory slots or no item box with more 8 inventory slots to balance things out.
Don't much remember RE3 though, it's been so many years... I do remember that I loved RE1 and 2 back in the day but, although I was enjoying the beginning of RE3, after a point I kinda forgot about it, went to play something else and never finished it.
Never got a chance to play Code Veronica, since no one I knew had a Dreamcast (and I didn't care enough to emulate it years later). It would be nice if it got a PC HD remake, I keep hearing it was a good one.
If you like cheese dialogue and weird characters, it will be a blast.
Asided from that you get pretty much everything, that made a RE game at that time. Exploration, inventory management, puzzles and all the standard enemies plus a few (annoying) new ones.
Only downside is the lack of variation. Once you are through, there wont be anything new anymore. No alternative routes, scenarios, chapters etc.
But it is atleast quite long and delivers some rather unusual bossfights. (both in good and bad ways)
Replay value, none. I played RE3 for the last time about 15 years ago and don't miss it. it is still my least favorite classic RE. Zer0 somehow manages to fool me into thinking it used to be a better game than it is and I end up playing it once every other year.
Yeah same over here, I remembered RE 0 being "alright" until I replayed it just recently. RE 3 not so much.
