How is this game on Windows 10?

I like the Resident Evil series, but I found the PC ports prior to Resident Evil 5 really crappy in terms of standard WASD keyboard controls. Not too long ago I purchased the Resident Evil game pack on sale, permanently hiding RE4 because it was so sorry. The games after that are GREAT, but I want to hear from people who have actually played this remaster on Windows 10.

I suppose I could just buy the game and play it to see, and get a refund if it sucks, but I'd rather hear from you. What has your experience with this game been like?

I don't have windows 10, but many of the posts on this forum are about how many issues people have with windows ten. Apparently for a lot of people the game won't even launch and has issues running.

Well, I just went ahead and purchased it, figuring it would be a faster way to get an answer. The first time I pressed "Install," I got an error messaage, "This game cannot be installed." I pressed it again, and Steam is installing it.

I will soon have the answer to my question. Thanks, Bobino (I was kinda wondering if you were Italian, knowing a guy from NYC, when I lived there, of that nickname).

When it's done installing, I'll launch and give an appropriate update / edit.

Why is it a crappy port? Maybe it's win10. I absolutely got no problems on win7.

Because WASD assigmnents are a NIGHTMARE; you can't control the character NORMALLY. JEEZ! It's TOTAL CRAP!

yes, u can. just use any joystick if u don't like an alternative control.

It runs fine in win10,I just use a steam controller as the KBM controls are REALLY awkward.

Also you may need to find a fix to stop it from slowing down as that is an issue Capcom haven't addressed. But there's solutions on the guides part of this forum.

You shouldn't be using a keyboard and mouse for Resident Evil anyway. Use controller. If you don't have one buy one.

Yeah, who uses kb+m for resident evil..get a cheap x360 controller, it's great and works with every game, if you want more comfort and better quality get xbox one wireless controller with an adapter for pc and it's heaven.

That doesn't change the fact that some games are made and designed for controllers. X360/X1 controller is a must for every pc gamer imo.

Heres an honest answer

ive been using windows 10 since it was released

RE0 is a crap port because crapcom being lazy didnt really bother as much as they should have and the game has various issues like all crapcom ports such as back screen, loading issues, memmory resources going nowere

HOWEVER this game doesnt require alot to work right

The game worked fine for me and i had no issues HOWEVER and this is proof of how lazy crapcom actually is

If you play the game via the Dolphin 5.0 prgram and get the game for free (google) and test the game yourself the actual iso file runs BETTER than the offical port of the game with less issues (obviously depending on your hardware and such)

but i found the game itsellf ran more smoothly with doplin than the actual release and i know some people will claim that steam re0 is an upgraded tweeked version of the game BUT with dolphin you can download higher res texture packages and when side by side and actually playing the game you wouldnt notice any difference

whats the rest of your hardware/software as it would help because you could have windows 10 but be running on a gtx260 or something

I run this game on Windows 10 with xbox controller. I have gtx 970, all setting on max include anti aliasing. I have stable 60 fps during games and 30 fps during cutscenes.
