RE0 contains spoilers for RE1.
-When you drop items, try to do so in safe rooms you can easily access from different routes (like the main hall). Don't just drop things in random corridors even if they seem safe now, because new enemies might spawn later in the game and you might have troubles retrieving those items.
-Don't forget about the Hookshot. You're gonna need it a few more times.
-Keep an eye on what your AI partner has equiped and what its behavior is set to. Set the AI to passive if you don't want them to attack, or if they have a strong weapon equiped and you don't want them to waste that ammo on enemies that aren't worth it.
-Don't allways go with both characters everywhere. Remember that Billy has higher HP, so sometimes it's better to just leave Rebecca waiting in a safe place, then go with Billy alone if what you need to do is risky but can be done with one character. Having your AI partner stick with you even when there's no reason will sometimes just increase the risk of taking damage.
-After using a chemical as Rebecca, remember to refill her case with that same chemical again before leaving the room (you might need to combine that chemical with another substance later in the game)
For classic RE games in general:
-Start with Normal if it's your first classic RE game.
-Use your ammo wisely. If some enemies are easy to avoid, just avoid them, so you can save ammo for mandatory boss fights and other situations where you have no choice but to fight. Don't just shoot every zombie (especially if you're playing on hard mode). If you want to kill everything, lower difficulties will give you more supplies and weaker enemies.
-If you've done something, like defeating a boss, but you ended up wasting all of your healing items and you think you can do better, you should probably reload and repeat that section.
-Save in different slots, so if you ever end up in a situation where you can't proceed due to being too short on supplies, you can reload an early save and see how you can reach that part in a better condition instead of having to restart the entire playthrough.
-Save often as long as long as you have some spare ink ribbons and you've made significant progress that you wouldn't want to repeat. Don't save if you just spent 20-30 minutes wandering but basically did no progress.
Save Napalm nades for an avian boss and stun lock it to death unless you want a headache.
Staircases have invisible walls around them so you can knife things to death.
When you get the shotgun, for the most part you should kill every single zombie you need to kill by aiming up and wait till they are about three meters away. Not right in your face, but not too far. You'll be surprised at the range you can decap them. If you don't kill them with the first shot and then they grab you, you are standing too close still.
For Leechmen, 4 Molotov's and use Rebecca to throw them because Billy can't throw them for the life of him.
Anything else, just add and I'll see what I can do.
Well, I would make an excpetion for the one in the narrow corridor after the art room. You have to go through that area one more than one time and you have to get through there with both characters. And there is barely any room to dodge his attacks.
