1 magnum bullet in facility basement training room?
I am going back through the training facility after fighting the tyrant for the first time and collecting ammo for the magnum. I picked up the ammo in the piano bar room and it gave me 8 bullets which makes sense. But when I picked up the magnum ammo pack in the facility basement training room (where you get the acid grenades and fight the 2 hunters) it only gave me 1 bullet. Is this normal or did my game glitch up? I have tried reloading from different saves and picking it up again but it only gives me 1 bullet. Thanks for any help.

Same here, only 1 bullet. But i'm pretty sure that's normal, as further on i've found more than enough. I took it as a hint to conserve the magnum ammo for bosses and whatnot or as a taste of things to come.

It's just the one bullet sadly, I get the feeling it was put there to make you reconsider your inventory management and tease you.

Unless you are going for speedrun,ı recommend placing that ammo to the train crash area because later on you will be able to come back there through an elevator.(Edit:I didnt see that you already fought him, congrats.)

It's just the game trolling you like RE remake does with the one bullet the self-defense gun, or maybe just their way to tell you that Magnum ammo is scarce and you should use it wisely.

Though that self-defense gun is a beast indeed...

It was always only one bullet in that ammo box. Regardless of difficulty as well.
But I've seen most speedrunners grabbing and I do myself. If you don't know how to manage the inventory, yeah you might think the game is "trolling" you. But the 8 round Magnum box is just around the corner, so you stack that one on top of the 1 bullet.
Don't carry around too much crap! You need for example to ditch Rebecca's handgun shortly after the Centurion fight. And after the Laboratory, you shouldn't keep any handguns at all.
For example.
Anyway, one magnum bullet is worth quite a lot. It equals around three shogun shells. Or 2-3 grenade rounds.

PS. If you are actually speedrunning, you shouldn't place stuff so you have to backtrack for it. And placing stuff as suggested at the Burning Train area is quite silly. You should never backtrack that far. Speedrunning means moving forward, not backwards.
Re-strategize and re-route if you find yourself backtracking and hoarding stuff.

If there's one thing "trolling" you in this game it's the Molotov cocktails (empty bottles + Gas tanks...).

I also always pick it up - a bullet is a bullet. I have more qualms about getting the handgun parts from the locker in the same room because you have to spend valuable ammo on those two plague creepers next door to get the key.
Run around them? It's really easy. Especially with alternate controls.

Even though those two stand directly in front of it, facing it and blocking it (apparently munching something)? To run around them, would I have to distract them first somehow? I confess that I never even tried to avoid shooting them because it just didn't look like a "run around them"-situation to me.
You just run right in front of them and grab the key, then immediately get out.
Just try it out and you'll figure it out. But don't shoot them to make them move or distract them because then yeah you may have to kill them. Wasting ammo, possibly health and time.
They won't notice you until when you are in front of them. So you have to be quick too. But still, it's quite easy.
The devs made them face away from you to make it more thrilling to get the key and also to test you, I guess.
Either way. Any chance you get to preserve ammo you should take it. And to kill these two you need both characters and/or waste valuable grenade ammo or whatever. Much worse than the small risk of getting a light slash by them while getting that key.
This is just one of the places in the game where they make you think you have to waste ammo on enemies you can just dodge by.
