STALKER -
Long time back, some projects were going on to include STALKER mods and Missions to play.
Most because of game's age, got dropped.

There are mods on armaholic , I even found a few on google search ... but they are either missing content now, or not completed.

A Mission series , N.C. ( Namalsk Crisis) uses some elements of the STALKER series, but isn't stalker exactly. Also, I've yet to find a download that isn't missing custom mission files or content " has been deleted" errors.

Why STALKER on ARMA2 OA/CO? :
You might ask this question, because STALKER games are cheap on Steam, and are complete games. Those are fun in thier own right, BUT ... there are things once you play ARMA and DAYZ mods ... that you miss in playing an older game like STALKER ...
Like weapon damage , head shots kill in ARMA2 OA/CO ... STALKER GAME , might take 15-20 shotgun blast to the face to kill off a SNORK ...
More realistic ranges and bullet calculations ...
Better movement controls , prone and crouch ... that actually make ya prone/crouch, not just lower your screen a bit.

A Better Question to ASK I think, is WHY not STALKER in Arma2 OA/CO :

It's got alot of the elements in it, that basically DAYZ mod and such made so popular or got fan based.
There's a survival element to it , need food/water ( or vodka lol ) , a dangerous and wild/untamed appocy like environment ,( needs a better map than Cherno , Namalsk looks the part, but it's also seemingly "unfinished" too , Thirsk both it an dthe winter version, are kind of fitting as far as a map goes. But really, ... ability to port into any map would be awesome. ), it's a mostly contained/quarantined place ( The ZONE ) ...

Lets face it, zeds/zombies/infected in DAYZ are stupid ... either not a threat at all, or nerfed to being ridiculous to be a tangible "threat" , but ... NO ONE PLAYS DAYZ FOR THE INFECTED!!!
The thrill of DAYZ is popping off other players, or AI in the case of PVE ...
STALKER'S Zombies ( Mutants) are a bit creepier , aren't to much of a threat but you don't want one scratching/clawing ya ... They at least act like better zombies, not some side strafing glitchy things ...
The mod I have of STALKER , the bloodsucker is stupid I admit ... it can take a tank shot , go invisible , and own you in a claw ( you can't outrun or defend against really. That kind of needs to be nerfed. ) It does have a form of Blind Dogs ... in ARMA 2 they are a bit like Infected in DAYZ a bit glitchy , but it's at least different.

Anyways ... STALKER has all the elements of DAYZ plus some more:
There are bandits , even better there are FACTIONS ( or could be) ( optimizing use of Bluefor/OPfor/independant/civi ) , which could generate some Co-Op play, or PVP depending on faction choice.

The most "popular" DAYZ elements: Epoch/Overpoch ... traders. Stalker has traders.
Stalker also has a money system, ... Stalkers go out face the zone, trying to find artifacts and goodies/secrets,to sell ( as well as weapons, ect ) ,and also pull missions/side missions for others ( NPCS in Stalker).
Also , one thing original Stalker lacked, was ability to base build ... which wouldn't need to be EPOCH extensive , looking more "junky"would be neat, but just having a secure place to crash and stash would be nice in the STALKER verse in my opnion.

It could be set PvP , faction PvP only, or PVE ... it'd cater to everyone.
Creepiness/foggy/dark nights , way more enhancing the environment for STALKER than for any DAYZ.


I mean, for thos ethat have never played STALKER , you aren't "going to get it " ... while it's one of the best FPS games out there still ( along the lines of FPS/RP fallout games ) ... it is in comparison to ARMA2 ... a lacking and limited engine, and a bit " outdated" in comparison.
Amra2 OA/CO adds in the "realism" the original STALKER games lacked as far as playing, controling, fire fights , wepaon balistics, bullet damage, ect ...

I really wish, some brilliant coders ... would take the STALKER mods, ( the best I found was called STALKER DEVELEOPMENT MOD , the most "complete" one ) , and make a Survival Stalker Mod to play, and outfit missions with toxic zones ( need gas mask for) , radiation zones ( need anti-rads or radiation prevention ) , and make the Anomolies/artifacts work correctly ... set up traders , set up some form of base building ( or camps ), inlcude alot of the things DAYZ mods have, stealth, hunger, thirst ..., randomized loot , but not over abundance like DAYz has ...
Hunting/fishing , making fires , cooking , some crafting ...
In the Zone ... it'd be incedible ...

Different than Dayz , ... it might even breathe some life back into Arma2 OA/CO , later work on Amra3 Stalker Mods lol, but never quit support on Arma2 OA/CO.

I've kind of given up working on this ... no one seems interested really, and I lack motivation to finish it.
