DayZ Commander Steam Install instructions

This method will let you not only install the main DayZ mod but also the community maps like Namalsk and Taviana (and every other map)
1. Install Arma 2
2. Install Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead (NOT BETA!!!)
3a. Run Arma 2 and close it once at the main menu(Important!)
3b. Run Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead and close it once at the main menu(Important!)
3c. Run both steps 3a and 3b from their .exe as admin. \Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 2 and \Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead are the default paths.
4. Download and install DayZ Commander http://www.dayzcommander.com/
5. Run DayZ Commander and check the two boxes in settings "run with steam" and "replace files so steam works"
6. Hit install/update and download the Beta files and the main DayZ mod and whatever extra maps you want

Now you can use the filters to find a server with the version of the mod you now have. remember this is a mod its not ment to be super easy to install, but once you get it working its worth it.

Yeah Thats right you click that little box that said use arma 3OA beta so it will work with steam

Yes, I have. I did say I followed all the instructions man, many times. The instructions include the settings you're talking about.

Try looking into the settings tab of DayZ commander
Under Directories

all directories are there. still gives the message

I have got a problem with dayz commander! I have checked the directory but it stil says cannot find ******** (not sure what it says). My games didn't go in program files so I had to move steampps over as well. But I think I have to move steam and then put steam apps in the steam folder, can someone help me please

Hello, i need some help.
I did all the steps on the first post, teaching how to install and play with day z commander. But, in the ''install/update'' tab on the day z commander, i cant update neither the arma 2 (it says that it is out of date) or download the mods. When i click to install, it tries for several seconds, then a red triangle appears on the side
Can anyone help me?

When i click hide wrong Arma II version none of the servers are available. What do i do?

What About Arma II complete ?? What is the order of the steps whenI want those better Texture from the other Arma II pack ( british if I remember good )

I would assume you just install them the same way before step 4.
