I had Day Z commander and got rid of it because I saw the mod on steamn and was certain it would be better, easier to update and all. They just screwed it up
It keeps A2 and A2:OA up-to-date(official stable version) as well as the VANILLA DayZ mod.
If you were to look at DayZ Commander, you'd realize that there are hundreds of beta patches(not official stable versions) for A2:OA, which are what DayZ uses. So the version Steam gets you is too out-of-date for most DayZ servers.
And if you were to look at what else you can download through DayZ Commander, you'd realize that there are several unofficial community-variations of DayZ as well as unofficial maps that fans of the mod have ported for DayZ.
There are about 6-7 maps as well as 4-5 unofficial mods you can pick and choose from. Steam updates just one map and one mod. The DayZ mod and Chernarus(the map DayZ was officially built on).
Research or stop complaining.
If any of you guys could help me with this, it would mean a ton, thanks in advance!
