[FIXED] Empty Server List + Waiting for Host

Symptoms:

- The server list is empty. I see nothing. Not in Arma II, not in OA, not DayZ or even Epoch.
(I have all filters off and no max ping set)
- When I try to join a server via Launcher or Commander it starts the game but displays a black screen with "Wait for Host" - forever.

<<<<<<<<edit: FIXED IT: After re-installing everything completely (deleted all BattlEye remains) i started Op. Arrowhead from steam with the option "Launch without BattleEye" - i could see all servers even my old one. Double clicked it and it booted up BattlEye and updated it. Didn't work the forst time but worked the second. Weird but i'm happy. Hope everyone can profit.

I had prevously tried:

- Uninstalling and deleting everything (even the BattlEye folders who are left behind when steam deletes local files), then going through the usual process of installing everything: Install Arma 2 -> Run Arma 2 -> Install OA -> Run OA -> Install DayZ -> Run DayZ -> Install Epoch -> Run Epoch.
- Launcher and Commander. It's not a problem with them, it's about ingame server list and connectivity.
- Firewall is off.
- Running steam as an administrator


Does anyone have the same problem and does anyone have a suggestion how to fix this bloody mess?

Bought the game two nights ago and it worked fine. Yesterday I booted it up and had this problem and tried to fix it with all of the things you previously tried to no avail. Found your solution today and launched Operation Arrowhead without Battleye and I could see all of the servers but when I joined it relaunches as Op. Arrowhead with Battleye and I end up with the same empty servers.

Now im reinstalling everything again/ deleting Battleye just as you did in hopes that it'll help. Will update.

Edit: still stuck having the same issue. Very frustrating to buy a game and have it work for 1 day

that solution didnot work for me too
what I have tried is reinstall the Windows 7, lolz
I think the problem is at the AppData file , this file is hidden under the My Documents
make sure you go AppData and delete everything about Arma 2 and BE and the Reg aswell

I found the Arma 2 folder under my documents but i cant find the appdata file, all I see is the profile data and some .cfg files

Appdata file is hidden , make sure you google how to make it visible in the folder . My OS is not English so can't help :<

I know is an old thread, but thanks, my brother was having the same issue and we try a mix of both deleting app data and starting without battleye and it works!!
