FPS Issues on Arma 2: OA (RESOLVED)

If anyone can help,

I have just installed Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and I am getting the lowest frame-rate that I have ever seen on this game, and I know for a fact that I have the requirements to play this game at a decent frame-rate.

I have a Intel i5-7300HQ at 2.5GHz, and 8GB of RAM, as well as a GTX 1050, although I know that Arma is a strictly CPU game. I have checked the minimum requirements for this game, and I exceed them, but still get around 1-15 frames. I have tried setting the graphics settings to the lowest possible, and the frame-rate does not increase.

If anyone can please help me with this issue, I would be very appreciative.

P.S: I have a gaming laptop, an MSI GL62M 7RDX to be specific.

The minimum requirements for this game are bs imo. Arma 2 OA although old still needs a decent rig to run it. Your cpu is a power reduced laptop version and hence quite underpowered for this game. Turn off shadows, reduce resolution and reduce visibility.

Thanks for the response Wally_c64, but I have fixed the issue. All it took was to delete the drivers for my 1050 and re-install them. By the way, my laptop, as long as plugged in, does not entirely reduce power, as I can select the power mode which it is running on (Turbo).
