Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead

Cannot revert to campaign save files
This continues to happen on fresh save files as well, by the way.

The error reads as follows: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.ca_missions_acr, woodland_acr, bootcamp_acr, mountains_acr

This happens everytime i revert to a save I have on a campaign mission. Same happens if i resume it. If I play the mission without saving, it works, but otherwise, it does not. I've tried validating local files using Steam, but it doesn't work. Before I validated, it just got stuck on the loading screen. Now, it just does the error.

EDIT: Found a possible source. The ACR addon. Tried turning it off but it didn't fix anything.

EDIT 2: I figured it out. All I had to do was switch to legacy branch, please lock this post.

Hi, when I go back to 1.63, the ARMA 2 OA starts in Russian. (tried to go to Documents>config>rewrite the Language="English" but no luck.

Run Steam as administrator, it's help for me.

Just to add one additional reason for the DLC failing to install when AO is installed after Arma 2: if the Arma 2 is the free version Arma 2 Free, the .EXE that the DLC expects is arma2free.exe, not arma2.exe. This will not result in a helpful error message listing the missing file if the path to Arma 2 is also incorrect, which happens now because Arma 2 Free is not avaialble through Steam and has to be installed separately, so Steam will not know the correct path to put in the registry.

The solution is to correct the path in registry keys data and main under node:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\bohemia interactive studio\arma 2
Then rename arma2free.exe to arma2.exe for running datacachepreprocessor.exe under Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\DLCsetup\0ACRlite.

This is what I did. I disables the ACR. It said I had to restart. When I restarted I got an error message saying it couldn't load a file, ignore, retry or abort. I hit abort on all of them and started the game. I don't have any problems now. I don't really need the acr anyway :b

I have also discovered that sense I did that I now have 3 more maps than I did.
