HoW to get the MOd Island life

well i spent ages trying to get this mod and i finaly found the answer

umm the part whit the addon sync i get error 404 server not found and when i go to this link http://199.189.84.209/repo.7z same thiing

You will need to install the program called AddonSnyc and on there click 'favourite servers', new server, and there should be an area called addonsync URL or close to that, you paste the above code into that area i believe. You can find plenty of tutorials online which will help you shoudl you encounter any firther problems.

I can't seem to download the files. I went onto ts and asked about it and i downloaded them and it failed 3 times for an "unknown reason" Please help meeeeeeee.

whenever i type in the autoconfig url i get a messege that says Failed importing server details! Please check the URL! Cannot inport table Server Can you tell me how to fix? what am i doing wrong?

Okay so have you downloaded AddonSync, if so then you will need to find a working autoconfig url. Here is one that I use however apparently the owners of this one have removed the maps from it. As a result you will manually need to install the maps which i will link below:

The Autocofig URL I Use (I believe this one works): http://addons.tacticalcombatgaming.com/TCGIL/repo.7z

Emita Map Download (Main Island Life Map, Insert into your main Arma 2 Folder usually found in your documents): http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=15482
(Will download as @Bracer or just Bracer)

So to summarize, you need to...

1. Install addonsync, if the above link doesn't allow you to download look elsewhere for a download however ensure it is 100% safe.

2. Click favourite servers, new server, go to the server tab, in the autoconfig url part paste the above AutoConfig Url, then click import on the right.

If you then go to addons it should automatically start to download the addons which will take roughly an hour dependent upon how fast your internet is.

3. Then download the emita map and insert the extracted folder into your arma 2 folder found in your documents. Other maps you can download for certain Island Life servers include: Cicada, Taviana, Celle etc. just look for the error message when joining a certain server. It should say something like missing content: Cicada or words to that effect.

4. Once your download says finished in Addonsync, load Arma 2 OA or Arma 2 OA Beta and click expansions on the bottom. You will then need to enable the @TCG folder and the @Bracer/Emita expansions and restart arma when prompted.

5. You should then be able to join any Island Life server which involves Emita as a main map.
