Utes

So how can I get Utes and the other maps? I really like Steam, it's clean but I want to play other maps than the norm. Any help (besides downloading PlayWithSix) would be most appreciated.

Download DayZ Commander. It keeps track of the latest versions of all unofficial DayZ maps as well as everything else you need.

Default Arma - It should be there arleady if you have ARMA 2
DayZ - Use DayZ commander. I personally find Six luancher the best to do this stuff.

Ignore the second guy, even I didn't understand what he was trying to say.
If you're able to play DayZ, you already have ARMA 2. So no idea what he's on about.

If you want to play DayZ in unofficial maps(Utes, Celle, Namalsk, etc), you need to get DayZ Commander.

What he meant to say was;

If you want to play normal ArmA you should already have Utes.

If you want to play DayZ then Utes and other maps contain files that need to be downloaded. If you use DayZ Commander and click Install/Update you'll see a long list of files (i.e DayZ, DayZ+, DayZ Utes, DayZ Panthera). Just click install on those and you can join a server with running the version you have installed.

People should really start tagging their threads with [DayZ] or [ARMA2]. Its not entirely obvious which the OP is talking about.

If DayZ, do what Wulfie said.

If not, Utes is an official island found under the Editor menu. Couple of stock missions set there too, War Welcome for example.
