OA folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead
Userconfig folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\userconfig\ace

Something went wrong when saving ACE manual settings.ace file...
And the userconfig\ace\ace_clientside_.hpp not found error still persists.
I have CBA. The zip file is labelled "CBA_v0-8-3".
I have three mod folders from it installed called "@CBA", "@CBA_OA" and "@CBA_A2". I have no idea which one to use. The readme supplied was useless. So I use all three.
I have five "ACE" mod folders named "@ACE", "@ACEX", "@ACEX_RU", "@ACEX_SM" and "@ACEX_USNavy". If this also helps, the five ACE zip files I have are named "@ACE_v1.6.0.425", "@ACEX_v1.6.0.288", "@ACEX_RU_v1.6.0.19", "@ACEX_SM_v1.6.0.70" and "@ACEX_USNavy_v1.6.0.16"
Probabably newer versions have been released since.
My ArmA 2 install directory is labelled "C:\Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead
I note I have no such "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\userconfig\ace" folder. Do I need to manually create it?

That seems odd to me as well, as I'm sure my profile folders are no on "One Drive", but in "documents/My Games" or someother such location. I can find no way to stop "Clippi" from automatically focusing on rhis One Drive folder.
The last time I used these with ArmA 2 OA was a long time ago in 2014, and that was with the GOG version of the game. I had no troubles at all running it then.
All have been "activated" in ArmA2 ingame Expansion menu as opposed to using the "shortcut attribute" method. Is that where it's going wrong?
What next?
EDIT:-
I've added that "userconfig/ace" folder manually.
Clippi seems to have written that "ace_clientside_hpp" file ok. Which contains this:-
class Identity {
name = "jpm19.vars";
};
//#define ACE_NOVOICE
ACE_CLIENTSIDE_CONFIG_VER = 8;
//#define ACE_NOCROSS
ACE_CLIENTSIDE_CONFIG_VER = 8;
//#define ACE_MINIMALHUD
ACE_CLIENTSIDE_CONFIG_VER = 8;
//#define ACE_DISABLE_RUCKLESS
ACE_CLIENTSIDE_CONFIG_VER = 8;
Still getting errors!!!!!!
This time it's a pop-up alert saying:-
"Include file userconfig\ace\ace_serverconfig.hpp" not found, and of course this also stops the game even starting, just like the other missing file error.
Another edit:-
Will try a lame trick, will just copy and paste "ace_clientside_hpp" and rename it "ace_serverconfig.hpp".
NOPE! Now it's a game stopper pop-up saying:-
"File userconfig\ace\ace_clientside_config.hpp, line 6: /CfgIdentities.ACE_CLIENTSIDE_CONFIG_VER: Member already defined."
This all sounds like "multiplayer" BS. I'm not insterested in that. So why is this stopping me from even running it?
you have problems with ACE, inside the game installation folder you need to have the "userconfig" folder and also many mods use this folder, ACE is one of them and you need to create the "ace" folder if you don't have it, also inside that folder goes the ACE configuration file, ace_clientside_config.hpp, this file is created by running "aceclippi.exe" if it doesn't work or gives you an error, try running it as administrator, in my case I have windows 10 and it works perfect. If you have Windows 11 that is the problem.
Edit:
Why do I say that win11 is the problem, because windows 11 has problems with everything, many games and programs, among others, have problems with Win11.
If you don't have win11 and you still have problems, with aceclippi you have to find the cause, because it has to work, so come back here and we'll try to find a solution.
if yo girl never treat you right im here for you bro god bless you ten years later
Maybe you can make a download link for your ace 1.6? I have 1.4
But once I delete tons of ACE files it worked even though it showed errors. I just wish I could find some files that showed were missing so i can add more ace files in.
