Proper way of installing the Complete Collection?

Hello. I have Arma Cold War Assault and Arma 1, never had problems with them. I got Arma 2 Complete Collection on one of the sales, and I remember having problems to get mods to work, merging II and OA and getting ACR activated. I tried using guides, but every damned guide I found was about installing Day Z or were outdated.

What is the proper way of installing? How to I combine II and OA? Are mods installed in the same way as Arma 1 and CWA? I don't want to play Day Z, I just want to get mods and use the editor.

1 Start Steam as admin to make sure you won`t run into problems later
2 Install ArmA 2
3 start ArmA 2 and exit it again (do not skip this)
4 install Operation Arrowhead
5 run Operation Arrowhead
5a in case ACR didn`t install properly,navigate to the Arrowhead basedir,DLC folder and install it by hand

Next time you start Arrowhead,it will have all the content enabled (even regular ArmA 2) and behave as "complete collection"
