Trojan detected [Please Help]
I have my arma 2 OA beta set to 1.62 and am trying to change it to none but when it gets to the end of it my mcafee says trojan detected and this is called RDN/Generic.dx!dd3, is this an actual trojan because mcafee says it is on their website. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Try deleting it or risking letting it pass through your firewall or Mcafee firewall.

yeh I have tryed deleting it and then redownloaded it fine and the mods then changed the beta to see if it had worked and could never chang eit back again :( I have avast aswell so letting it through mcafee and keeping avast would be safe wouldn't it??

RDN/Generic.dx!dd3 only seems to come up on the internet for mcafee no other anti viruses

I guess so. However i have had this issue before and just let it pass through. Sometimes when you security sees an unknown or unfamilar file it detects it as a virus and wont let it pass through. I have Total Defense and i get sometimes get pop-ups when lauching games saying there is a virus when really it isnt.

Yeah you could try just allowing it to pass through but can't you just quarintine it if it is an actual virus? Like running a scan.

I am really conflicted on what to do because I really dont want a trojan on my PC :D however it does only come up when doing this download but would that mean it definitly from that download?

I believe so.

This is the last time i'm getting mcafee :D because it is most likely a false positive as I get it all the time with mcafee. This means I spend hours trying to work out what I can do

I got it to work by turning it off, updating the game (Battleye), and then turning it back on.

Yes, it is a false positive and there is no way around it. This issue began for most McAfee users around the 1st of July.................
