This is a thread to promote thew Origins server United Gaming. This server is hosted in Paris and therefore will offer low ping for EU players. Players from all countries are welcome to join. As a new server we are looking to build our player base so that we can form an active community.

This server is 70 slots, and therefore is one of the only Day Z Origins servers with this high player capacity!

The benefit of this server is that the majority of the Day Z mod player base will have a lower ping since it is hosted within Europe.

We have a Discord setup for voice and text communications, we are using this service over TS3 because it offers more functionality and overall is a better service. Join the server now whilst it is low population and have a head start on building your base!

HOW TO SETUP/JOIN

1) Ensure you have both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA installed/verified.
2) Ensure you have run both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA at-least ONCE
3) Download and install the latest version of Day Z Launcher from Google.
4) Install the latest version of Origins mod through Origins Launcher. The latest version is 1.8.3.
5) Using the IP/Port posted above, paste this into the "Search" field under the "Server" tab and hit Enter on your keyboard.
6) Favorite United Gaming when it appears in the list and double click on it to launch the server. Click OK on the Steam popup message.

Weapon modifications, something people have been telling us is impossible in ArmA 2. Well, behold, once again, here it is.

There will be 19 weapons that can be modified with attachments such as scopes and grenade launchers so far:

AK-107, AK-103, AK-74M, AKs-74u, AEK-971, AEK-973s, AS Val, Bizon, F88 Stayer, Famas G2, FN-Fal, Groza -7.62, Groza 9, Kar98k, M4, RK-95, Vss Vintorez, MK 48, MP5A5.

The following attachments will be available for the weapons:

NATO - 4 type ACOG scope, GL 203, Aimpoint, ELCAN, Anpvs4, Holo, Silencer, NATO Stayer AUG scope.

East: 1p29,Kobra, Gp30, PSO, Silencer

Please note that so far this feature is still not finished, we wanted to see the communities reaction to it and we will complete it in future updates if the reaction is positive. At present not all scopes are are compatible with all weapons, for example a NATO scope my not be compatible with a soviet weapon. You will be notified in game which scope is incompatible with which weapon. If the community reaction is positive we will work to fix that in future updates and add even more weapons.

Also heres a guide to download origins faster than dayz launcher, great for people with high bandwith.

1) Ensure you have both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA installed/verified.

4) Download dayz origins 1.8x TORRENT not rar or zip. https://originsmod.info/download.html
5) Open the torrent with deluge and click add torrent. Sit back and wait
6) Move the dayz origins folder that you downloaded into your arma 2 oa directory.
7) Launch Arma 2 OA, click expansions, enable origins. Then restart your game and connect to the server!

Update Details.

• Weapon customization:
  New weapons, including some legendary WW2 ones (AK-103, AK-107, AK-74M, AKS-74U, F88, FAMAS, Groza-7.62, Groza-9, AS VAL, RK-95, М4, Kar-98k, MK-48, PKP "Pecheneg", Fusil, RPK-74M, Type64-S, Type89).
  
• New weapon modifications: (NATO – 4 types of ACOG scopes, М203 grenade launcher, Aimpoint, ELCAN, An-PVS-4, Holo, scilencer. Russia/USSR – 1p29, Kobra scopes, GP-25/30 grenade launcher, PSO scope, silencer, NSPU night vision scope).
  
• A range of police and military battle shields.
  
• New entertaining quests.
  
• New military/civilian aircraft: The legendary Mig15 and L-39M Albatros, Camels, Yak-24D.
  
• New buildable monuments and statues which will reward you with some tasty things.
  
• Ability to increase the garage space in strongholds.
  
• New buildable wind powered lamp to illuminate bases at night.
  
• Ability to re-spawn inside level 4 houses and stronghold after death.
  
• Ability to reinforce the M2 Land Rover.
  
• Also, some existing weapons have been replaced with newer higher quality models. Some bugs have been fixed and the flying fortress route has been changed.
