Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead

Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead

Friendly AI is sooo dumb lol
I heard this was the case. But I never thought it would be this bad. You tell one soldier or the whole group to ADVANCE. Where I am pointing my crosshairs. They literally go to the opposite direction. You tell them to go north. They go south! HAHAHA.

Any tips from ARMA veterans would be appreciated.

I usually just use the map, but still sometimes they go to other directions.

Yes ... use google ...
Have no idea how to install mods?
If you don't know how to install mods, it's like you don't know what ArmA is and you've never played ArmA, ArmA without mods, it's not ArmA.

ArmA is a base platform, a good simulator, but the best is in the mods, what makes ArmA great are the mods and the community.

Copy the "@GL4" folder into your ArmA 2 or ArmA 2 OA, root folder.
Drag the "UserConfig" folder from "@GL4\UserConfig" (UserConfig is inside @GL4 folder) in your ArmA 2 or ArmA 2 OA root folder.

and to activate the mod, or you use a launcher to manage, order and execute the mods you want among other options, or you add in launch option inside steam -mod =@GL4

For that right click on the game, properties and in launch options you paste this -mod=@GL4 and if you want to add another mod, it would look like -mod=@GL4; @othermod

next time use google dont be lazzy...

Arma 2 AI standalone can be pretty weak, but with mods they are superior to Arma 3 modded. As of now, there are 2 main mixes overall: Smart AI Mix & Advanced AI Mix. I personally like the latter a bit more since they break contact well, maintain solid pace, and are competitive but realistic. The first is also good and you can get a quick jumpstart by downloading BurnerTactical’s Wolfpack AI Mix (essentially Smart AI Mix).

It’s probably bias due to creating it, but i prefer Advanced AI Mix since it’s essentially plug and play (no having to modify GL4) and the results are some of the best. Regardless of which mix you pick, use CBA 1.0.0 and update 1.62 for OA.

Here’s some footage I’ve documented of their behaviors (no Arma 3 AI mod to date can behave like these):

I have a bunch more on my channel (including a link to CBA 1.0.0).
