If there would be mods already for the game and it wouldn't be the buggy mess as it is now, i would buy it full price.
The port isn't perfect, but it is a damn fine survival horror adventure in the vain of classic resident evil and the like. Definitely worth $20. It's a steal, tbh.
Yes please, i've been thinking about that! ^_^
I have a ton of ideas which i've written but i've felt like i would have been rejected, like most of these posts, you encouraged me though:
• Being able to unload your weapons, in case you reload accidentally into a gun you don't use, like it happened with me with the P226, 15 bullets wasted! This would be done in the inventory, select the weapon and press a button, to avoid making new animations.
Like the 2 last XCOM games, you can set modifiers to a playthrough prior to starting a new game, here are some ideas:
• Hunger System, every 20 minutes or 30 of gameplay, you enter the "Hungry" state, where your healthbar will have a pink coloring around it (The color of your liver!) which means you need to use a consumable food item from your inventory (Food or drink it doesn't matter), if not hungry, you will very slowly regenerate health, if hungry, you will lose your health slowly (You can disable the health regenerating if you want to, and when hungry, you will
only lose health after a minute of entering this state).
• New weapons in the game will be located randomly in the level they were previously found in, instead of them appearing in a fixed spot.
• The first weapon you get in the game (Which is the Cricket Bat and the first pistol) is now randomized, which means you could get a Cricket Bat (Always the cricket bat, no other melee weapon, since that would be overpowered) and a UMP-45, for example.
• The game's loot system for ammo makes new types of ammo appear by the time you find new weapons that take these kinds of ammunition, you could set the game to make all of the types appear from the beginning of the game, increasing randomness of what you could get, this is pretty much necessary if you were to choose the previous modifier, which is
random starting weapon. It would be better if we joined this option together as one.
• Enable all zombie types from the beginning of the game. Having spitters on the Supermarket? Why not? Maybe you could argue that players need to be teached these types at their own pace, but you only see 3 screamers and 3 teleporting zombies in the whole game! And well, we could limit this option to the people that beat the game first. Either add some of
these to the areas previous to their first encounters, or make them appear randomly throughout the game.
• Random lockpickable doors, could increase tension by a lot. You can decide whether to be given the lockpick from the beginning of the game, and have locked doors that way from the very start, or for this modifier to kick in once you acquire
it in the story.
• More zombies in a map! I've heard you guys made the game too easy, by for example, making the Cricket Bat faster on its swing, i haven't died once in my first playthrough (Though i've had 2 close calls)!
There are bunch of Coop games out there for you to play. Coop already ruined Resident Evil and Dead Space, let us have at least some single player survivor horrors, please?
I do too, and it heaps better.. not only graphics, but design, gameplay and features. I only bought the PC version to see how it looks and to support the game in hope they make a sequel at some point.
• Disable Prepper Pad features, such as Automatic Scanning (Once you get the first upgrade for the pad) or being able to look for enemies while equipping the pad. Not knowing where the zombies are makes it have a lot more tension.
How so? Considering you can play this game in 4K 60fps on PC and using Reshade or SweetFX you can disable that horrible green filter and add better shadows and darken the scenes as well, giving the game a better "horror feel"... And what are you talking about "heaps better.. not only graphics, but design, gameplay and features"? The design, gameplay and features are identical on both formats minus the controller features the WiiU has but that is by no means a "game changer". You can see the map! WOW! smh... I will take the multiple benefits playing on PC has over that any day.
Cause i wanted to get all of the achiements for the game. But after dieng on hardcore mode because i fell out of the map i thought well thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. So i tryed again and the same thing happend in the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ place
Edit. 3 time i fell out of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times yeah getting the last 2 achiements for me is inpossible.
My interest in the game is the same.. I want to achievement hunt it.
I've not heard much good about this port which is unfortunate as I really liked the original WiiU version.
I know a fair bit got changed due to the lack of the gamepad.. but I didn't expect so many more bugs like that.
*** Survival mode (the only mode worth playing imo) can be frustrating as the game has scripted moments (kill enough respawning ai for eg) where its a bit like cod on veteran difficulty how it comes down to pure luck as to whether or not you survive. Ended up using usb save scumming to get past these moments.
