Buying this game at this price would be outright theft.
This game is clearly worth more than that.

You shouldn't rely on the percentage of negative/positive opinions, but read the constructive comments (positive and negative) to find out if we like this kind of game or not.

Admittedly, the combat system, especially if you're not used to it, can be frustrating, but like everything, it just takes a little practice.

In the worst case, if you don't like it, you can ask for a refund, of course, the delay is too short to really tame the combat system.

It's a cool RPG. I almost not complete any game in the recent years, and I have completed this one.

I'm playing now, passed the prologue and I'm having a fun time with the combat. Not a masterpiece, but a decent game.

I recommend that you play Mars: War Logs, first. Mars: War Logs takes place in the same universe, and was made first. It's got a lot of background information about the setting that The Technomancer kind of expects you to already know. You won't be totally lost if you play The Technomancer first, but there's stuff that will make more sense, like who the larger factions and the role that Technomancers have.

dont think they expect you to know it.
I cant find info on them expecting you to play mars first.
All I get is that this game isnt a sequel at all, or a prequel. Just a story happening at the same time in a different location.
They give you more than enough info even with in the first hour to understand what is going on in this universe.

I will likely watch a recap or something on mars logs. Dont know if I wanna play it for 20 horus or so.
Would be nice if they just said this is part of that universe though, id have played the other one prior lol.
Im glad theyre calling greed fall 2, greed fall 2 :^) and not something different. They should really have come up with just a base name for this universe, like what call of duty does. They have CALL OF DUTY, then w.e part of the universe they decide to focus on.
Or how The Elder SCrolls is like.

Thanks for commenting this though, now ill chilll and just watch some videos on that other game to know more of the lore.
Now I wanna play greed fall again, as I never beat it.

id just watch this though. If yall dont wanna play this "first" game. Id assume they give you this context eventually in this game though. But still nice to know when going into it. They already give you most of what is said in this video with in the first 2 hours of this game.

I think the devs made a post on here though giving us the history and context. So dont even think you need to play it or watch a video.

its 2 bucks on sale, its 100% worth as you can literally never go wrong with 2 bucks, unless maybe you live in a lets say Cyprus where min wage is 4.25 or something, but games are sold for the same price as it is in countries that pay a lot higher of wages. But even then 2 bucks is not much.

Its a solid game. If you liked greed fall, you prolly would like this. Feels a lot like it but also different, due to the setting. Plus greed fall is more polished over all. But its a good game thus far. Especially knowing I got it for 2 usd.

it's a fantastic game
but i wouldn't recommend buying it on PC for any price
sadly it's not quite tailored to modern systems
and getting it to run properly can be quite annyoin
the devs realy should've patched up their code, but alas it's abondonware by now

get it on console, but not on PC

game runs with no issue. And if it doesnt likely the work around is a few minutes max. Unless youre using windows 11 and its having issues on there. its not even that old lmao. Its literally from 2016. Most times when games have issues with modern hardware its from pre 2006. I think its mostly your system. I feel like youd see a lot more people asking about how to get it to run on something.

Not saying it doesnt happen, but I am saying I have very modern hardware, like nothing from 2016. Everything Have is 2020+. Maybe with like a 4k series I can see that happening as from what I notice a large chunk of people with issues on modern games, it comes from 4000 series users.

But ill agree if many people have issues like you, devs should have to patch their code up by law or try to get it running on newer hardware, and or if they dont. They should leave a warning that for new hardware there may be issues.
I got pissed at jade empire and almost everyone just boot licked EA. As they at the time recently released the game on steam, and it literally doesnt work on modern hardware with out mods. Which is annoying but usually to get a game like that running its one mod that takes a few minutes to set up. But I wouldnt have been salty if they had a warning.

What are your specs?
And what OS are you using?

I got it for 2 euro, its a steal at that. everything is good kinda reminds me a little of mass effect and a bit of greedfall. only stand-out problem i feel is that you have to retrace your steps a few times which can get a little frustrating - if you ever played dragon age inqusition's opening fetch quests you'll get what i mean but its NOWHERE near as boring as DA:I s fetch quests. Also you are a Technomancer like a acrobatic mixed martial artist who can control the power of lighting which is cool as ♥♥♥♥ tbh. best game i ever got for 2 euro. hands down.

It reminds you of greed fall, because its the same devs. I thought the same thing then googled the devs. .
Ive not finished it, i get distracted by other games kek.
Ive played all the dragon ages. Burned out after 150 hours into 3, due to playing like 150 hours of the past 2 LOL, in a month. I dont mind back tracking though, My favorite games often have it, such as morrowind, morrowind had some fast travel though, and I did use mods, to make it so when I leveled a magic skill up, Id unlock one mark/recall every like 33 levels, so I get a total of 4. It wasnt op by far, but it has just a little QOL, being able to always fast travel to your home.

But yeah 2 usd is a steal lmao. I feel bad for that guy who had it some how not work on his system cuz it works good on modern systems, considering it still is border line a modern game. Like we consider games from 2014/15 modern so why not 2016 :^).

Dont think I had a crash at all. I wanna say it runs good, but its like 80-90 fps at times 100+ if indoors. I have a 3060ti, which is slightly slower than a 3070. I can over clock it to make it as fast though if not faster.
Then have a solid cpu, 3800x, 4.5ghz, and 32gb of 3222 or something ramm. With a 5gb/s nvme. So its above average. So Id imagine at launch it likely was un-optimized, sitll is but its just not as noticeable considering even bad CPUs of our generation will get a lot of fps.

BUt to me as long as I get 60+ at 1440p, idc. Especially since I have gsync, 60 fps with gsync legit feels like im getting 10+ fps depending on the fps I have. If I go to 45, itll sometimes feel like 60 fps with motion blur on at the same time.

But ye obviously any game there will be people that cant run it with out work arounds, this happens even on game that 99% of people consider god tier optimization.

I enjoyed it and I would say it's worth it for even $20, so absolutely it's worth it for less than that.
