So I guess it is a sequel.
Which might be a really good thing. I thought Mars: War Logs had real potential, but just didn't have enough QA and balance staff. Hopefully Technomancers has well-executed combat. :)
I do hope this one is leaps better. The only thing I liked in MWL was the setting and atmosphere.
Now I guess they have the budget for more games ( Bound by Flame, etc ) and they don't want to associate a new one with the bad Mars name to avoid putting people off. So they're not doing Mars part 2 and 3 to finish the story but instead just take the same background with an updated ARPG combat system.
I hope they kept the "take all the water from dead bodies" mechanic, that what kinda original.
I liked Mars: War Logs more than I thought I would -- but I felt that the ending (no spoilers) fell pretty flat. I remember thinking, "Really? That's it? We're done with the story now?".
Anyway, I plan to keep an eye on this. I liked the last game enough that I'm curious to see how this one shapes up.
