if i remember correctly from the min/max discussion you get enough points to max 2 atributes and then put 2 more in another one. so the points are there. but if you prefer to build like a glasscannon thats more up to you now isn't it?
That said, yeah the number is stupidly low.
Sure there are always stronger enemies that do more damage then weaker enemies, but there is no inflation of enemy damage over course of the game, like in other RPGs.
So pretty much always, after getting wounded you can get away and heal yourself.
In fact, as game progresses, game becomes easier, since the damage that player character does is the one that increases, as well as getting access to powerful active abilities that can turn the tide of the battle.
Strength seems to overall best for melee classes because it allow you to equip high defense stuff and benefit all the melee damage. While Rogue should invest a bit in Agility when they find a better weapon they need to equip, their proc % are already high enough from passives that what Agility gives seems pretty low.
Agility seems good for Rogue but should probably second option only for Technomancer that don't do much melee at all and have no need for Strength.
Power seems very strong for Technomancer's since it's quite a lot of energy regeneration compared to what the rest offer but useless for the rest.
Constitution seems to be useless. Maybe if Disruption resistance affect Guardian block it could be a bit useful for them but otherwise if you need the disruption resistance, it mean you messed up somewhere. I don't think the HP would do much until you have 4-5 points in it.
I honestly stop having my shield up , and smashing light attacks instead sometimes against some groups on extreme and still ok with all the counter-attacks i took.
For other cons are useless , 10+/20+/30+ hp is still resulted as a one shot to two shot.
But honestly i think its fine , kinda like VIT in Dark Soul. 2 hit do die or 3 hit to die , not much of a different i said. So try dodging.
Its fair with all the infinite / insane range on dodge as a warrior / rogue
Also, because of how the game works, (you can always only get 1 guaranteed hits, unless the upponent is not targeting you or knocked down) you should focus on planned gameplay and picking your trades instead of rushing in with a buttonmash of attacks.
That said, you should even be getting hit much in the first place, especially since you can cancel any action with a dodge (for Warrior and Rogue for sure, not sure about guardian.). Think of it like dark souls: Poke, back out, poke, back out.
I'm playing on normal, near the end of chapter 2 (I'm level 39 I think), full rogue with 3 points in CON.
What has really helped so far is to max lockpicking and crafting to have really good gear both for attack and defense.
I still occasionally die but not once did I think it was unfair.
So yeah, the HP is what it is. You need to get better not your character. I actually like that I have to say. Like someone above said, you can't just smash attack-button.
Even in chapter 1 on normal, there are enemies that can deal ~70% of your health in one shot. A lot of them deal much less damage, but some seemingly regular enemies just deal huge damage.
It's the one thing I really don't like in the game so far. You're really, really squishy, and CON is such an insanely boring thing to buff and even if you do, the returns are minimal and you'll still get 2-shotted.
