I don't want a challenge. That's why I'm playing on easy mode!
All the tips for combat are great, but my end point is that on easy mode, I should not be required to be a master at this combat in order to progress! That's why it's the "easy" mode! One attack by one of the vory thugs takes out like a third of Zach's life bar; Boris two shotted me.
To add to that, are the thugs supposed to take like ten hits to knock out? They seemed to be able to take a lot more hits than I could.
I ended up using cheat engine to give myself a lot of extra hp because, like I said, I don't have patience or the desire to struggle through the same portion of the game over and over and over.
Bound by Flame suffered from the last boss battle being very frustrating on easy. Once you get to a certain age you reactions and skills get worst. I haven't pllayed any on Souls games because of the difficulty. Also often RPG's are more difficult and the start due to lack of skills and such.
Not every gamer is hardcore or has plenty of time to dedicated to their hobby especially older gamers who there are quite a few especially on PC.
And then gun spam and roll spam
so played a bit with every "class" rogue is the easiest to start with because they got the long dodge abilities, but for me they get a bit low damage later on,
Staff is hard to begin with but gets alot easier on later levels when you got the aoe attacks down, combine them with some technomancy abilities with boosted damage and the extra slots, or dont use the weapon charge ability for the extra power slot, it actualy makes a big difference in the beginning that you can fire your lightning twice in a row,
Havent tried guardian much yet as they seem to be the slowest and i mostly survive on movement.
combine it all with a dodge roll with Explosive mines against very hard mobs to clear them out pretty fast.
get the sci talent i think its called for fast regeneration out of combat to move quick between mobs, maybe some cha for the extra companion damage and atleast a point in traps/lockpicking for the faster traps
Thats why I also mentioned that there should be more difficulty modes... don't be so text selective please......
Uh, nowhere in your text does it say anything about other difficulty modes...so unless it's in another post, which the OP may have missed, you definitely did not
If you pay attention, dodge and keep stocked on health then you shouldn't have many problems.
Don't stand and find, keep moving. Hit and dodge out.
I feel like nobody is actually reading what I've written. Enemies are killing my character within seconds of starting the encounter, despite the fact that I'm playing on easy mode. Easy should tilt the encounters in my favor, lowering the damage the enemies do and decreasing their HP/defense so that I can take them out faster.
If I need to master the combat and never get hit, that's not easy mode anymore.
Then you are fking blind cus I most deffinity did mention that the game could use more difficulty modes.
So instead of:
- easy
- normal
- hard
It would be:
-very easy
- easy
- normal
- hard
- very hard
- and perhaps Insane if people feel like going Dark Souls style.
To play devils advocate it just says the game will be easier not that you will be able to stomp through it.
It's not a "casual" game, you will have to master the combat even on easy.
Easy mode is just easier than the others, not simplistic mode.
I am 68 and consider myself one of your "older gamers".
I always start a game on Normal because that is how the devs intended it to be played, and because that way I have an extra challenge for another playthrough on Hard or higher.
At the moment I am level 10 on Normal but it is getting too easy. If I can change to Hard I will, if not, I might start over on Hard.
My "reactions and skills" improve with every game I play, despite my age, and that is why I feel games are getting easier and easier.
