Rogue build is crazy
High chance Critical+Disturb+Poison+Electrify in a single attack,
not just that Rogue attack very fast to make sure enemies surely get one of the afflictions,
another benefit is any of that affliction cancel enemy attack, which is very helpful in this game, tsk tsk...
Oh and another benefit Rogue can slow time too.
If that is not enough a single trap can knockdown most enemies.

It's madness,
even rogue can get easy damage from afar with guns.

It maybe one thing to consider, there is disruption resistance, but there is no crit resistance.

whenever I try rogue though I feel I'm only scratching them...takes two hits to down an enemy with staff, but 5-6 with a dagger. Staff is much faster IMO, especially for groups...

At first, yes. The Rogue starts to shine after you get up higher in levels and gear. Use crit chance upgrades. Then have the electic weapon upgrade to increase crit on next attack when you stun someone. Then taking the crit chance passive in Rogue followed by the 20% damage buff when attacking from behind. Stacked with your increased crit from stacking Agility.

I find the best thing to do in combat is to let team members initiate. Then I go around using Thrust to apply poison to each target. And wait for Electic Weapon's stun proc to land while doing this. Then I go in for the insane damage by attacking them from behind.

If they're still alive after that combo just hit them with an Explosive Shot and try to reapply the stun while they're disrupted by spamming fast attack. If it doesn't proc then just dodge away and continue playing Thrust tag till you get another stun proc.
Personally I think mace and shield is stronger, After I parry I auto crit, avoid damage and can then get a few free hits in easily. You do massive damage with a well upgraded mace. I crit fro around 180 and only level 15. You can also parry multiple times, even parry mid parry. I've also electric infused my shield and use magnetic armour, so it knocks people back if they get close every so often.

or you can just use storm with 5 power an wipe them all in one move :D
Well i play as Techno/Warrior and i think it's bloody great too.

board and mace are the most boring. it's all about pressing f to crit. the parry window should be half of what it currently is, should leave yourself open, not blocked. or enemies should know how to cancel attack.

Coming from Mars War Log were getting weakness to proc was 50% Luck, I feel this time it's too easy. With Thrust I have about 90% chance to poison and my gun has about 150% chance to disrupt. I'm not sure Exactly what govern the electricity proc but even with nothing in Technomancer tree it still happens almost once on each enemy.

At least parrying requires you to react to something, dodging can be spammed with no drawbacks. I've won a fight just by using the staff and pressing dodge and aoe constantly. Parrying actually requires some effort

The fact that people can argue for any of the trees seems to indicate that they are all valid based on what playstyle you like. Which is a very good thing!

And this is why I never learned to properly parry in Witcher 2/3. Dodging/rolling is just much easier to learn.
