Survival mode is a good idea, its better to develop the confidence that you can actually aim at enemies instead of shooting and praying you'll get a frag.
but really, best advice i can give, is dont worry about missing shots and play THIS game. don't get discouraged if you miss, just enjoy trying to aim your best and getting better.
no objectives, barely any respawn time, people are moving left and right and up and down and forward backwards, close range, long range sniping. it's excellent for practice. you wont struggle with recoil (CS) or get back stabbed or flying demo man cabered while you're trying to practice sniping in this game. no wasted time sitting in spawn or getting instakiled by a sentry. just quick, repetitive aiming practice.
