Game minimizes when I click.

I just bought this game and when ever I click while in the game, it acts like I alt tab it. If I go back in and do nothing, the ingame cursor shows up until I move my mouse, where it turns into a regular cursor again.

What got it working for me was to press ALT + Enter to change it to windowed mode which allowed me to click and then changed the resolution to whatever it needed to be. Then ALT + Enter again and it should work. Seems like you need to press ALT + Enter each time you start the game though.

I got that to work but now im getting an error that the game has stopped working and it closes on the character creator screen and i was wondering how to finally get into the game and start playing it?

I just had to start it windowed in order to work. It's a pity it has no configuration to enable that. You can add -windowed to launch option, or launch it from command panel as "drakensang.exe - windowed" or just create a batch file with this command.

Um, I have this same problem and I just bought the game this morning. And, yeah, the game keeps minimizes each time I clicked in the game so I couldn't start the game on new character creation.

As I looked at this thread, I don't understand how it works on this direction. I know I am no expert on technical skills but the player plays the game.

How do I do this, -autoconfig, -windowed, -noborder? where can I find this in a box on my computer? Please help me out and I will appreciate it greatly.

While I don't have to do those, what they refer to is going to the icon on your desktop, right click on it so a small attached window come up with choices and at the bottom will be one called 'properties', click on that on that should be where to add those additions.

From one of the earlier posts: "Yes game properties, then set launch option and there copy in the line the 3 commands, do this also on the expansion if you have it." I'm going to guess 'launch option' refer's to the URL window.

Finally got it to work after 3 days of trying!!!!!

Right click desktop drakensang Icon and go to properties.
Web Document
After the numbers, copy and paste -autoconfig -windowed -noborder (space after the numbers)

Then go to steam library, right click drakensang, properties, Set launch option, copy the same URL from the desktop Icon Web Document.

HAPPY GAMING DAMN!!!!!

I went into the profile.xml and changed the resolution to 2k because of my monitor.
Did it for the DLC also.
Got Fullscreenizer to fullscreen it.

Launch game, alt+tab for switching to window mode, alt+tab again back to fulscreen that is fixed now. At least it worked for me :D

Hello everyone, I have a solution to the problem due to the last update of Windows 10.

First, enter the following line: -autoconfig -windowed -noborder for both River Of Time and Phileasson's Secret.

Then go to your documents and delete the file profile.xml in the folder of the game.

Then download the Fullscreenizer software on the web.

To finish run the game, which will be in windowed mode and launch Fullscreenizer. Select Drakensang and press Fullscreensize.

And voila.

This works (Thanks!) and you don't necessarily need the Fullscreenizer software but then you have windowed mode logically (small borders) and you need to delete the profile file from Documents every time before you start the game. If you are as wary of unknown softwares as I am.

Also -> you need to make new shortcut of the drakensang.exe -> at least I can't find a way to edit properties of Steam shortcut as it is different from "regular" shortcuts.

Strange. For me Fulscreenizer fulscreenize everything (I tried on every running app) EXCEPT Drakensang.

Any suggestions?
