Game seems to work under Windows 10/11 with dgVoodoo!

Download dgvoodoo - just google it, it should be the first thing that comes up (Dege's stuffs). Copy the exe file (dgVoodooCpl.exe) into where the game is installed. Also copy all the files in MS/x86, and put them in the same place.

Should look like something like this:

(I got the DLC too, so it might look different from your install folder, but it shouldn't matter)

Now when you are in the install catalog start the exe file. Go to the DirectX tab, and use these settings for now:

The reason I have dgVoodo Watermark filled in is because I want to make sure the program actually activates when I start the game. The 4X antialiasing is totally optional, I just forgot to remove it.

Now when that is done start the game from Steam as usual with no start commands or anything. The game might start in windowed mode, like it did for me, but I just had to press ALT-ENTER for fullscreen. While in-game I was now allowed to change settings like resolution without the game crashing or minimizing.

nice to know. It isn't a super hard game to get to work if you have problems but always good to have alternative methods to get it going if you do run into trouble. I ran into trouble back when i first started playing, a simple search fixed the problem in 30 seconds and off to the races.

This worked for me. Just to clarify where I got lost in the wording: "Now when you are in the install catalog start the exe file" means to open the dgVoodooCpll.exe file you just moved to the install folder. None of the other solutions I found online would work for me. And fullscreenizer didn't do much of anything that I could tell.
