It would just refine the base game as a whole and more environmental hazards like the cannons would be sweet.
There is a lot more stuff that can be done like more Beneath content, more combat features like grabbing enemies by the head 'n etc.
Good luck to them but I hope they still work on this game.
I played Beneath, I did not like it because it feels like someone else's game shoved into what I thought was a awesome game idea. More than anything, it feels like a mod for Paint the Town Red. The roguelite mode in itself isn't a bad idea, just why the hell are there monsters and demons suddenly? Classes and powers? You could have done a story/hybrid where you go through levels in the same way but with different levels and scenes. Tell a story or something.
All in all, I got my money's worth from the content that was made before half the game was even finished. Same great flavor, grandma's recipe...but some degenerate took a dump on the plate?
