Theoretical Maximum Possible Damage
Just started as a thought experiment. This will never happen in actual gameplay, but here you go. It also only includes only cards currently released (so no Luminary or OblivAeon shennanigans involved.) There is an addendum I'd like to add at the end, but hear me out. I also haven't double checked my numbers (I went by the wiki for card counts.)

The whole thing hinges on Realm of Discord's Imbued Vitality and Haka's Savage Mana. While Imbued Vitality is out, ALL Equipment and Ongoings become targets, meaning they can be put under savage Mana. Elbow Smash and Taiaha provide enough damage to destroy any card in one turn. Now to get the most villain cards under it, you go Team Villains. Yes, I'm including things not from the video game (currently.)

5 Highest Combined Targets and Ongoings in Team Villain Decks
Sergeant Steel 14
Ambuscade 14
Proletariat 13
Greazer 13 (number excludes his Perfect Hair, which is Indestructable)
Baron Blade/Ermine/Biomancer 11
65 Total Villain cards under Savage Mana

And the 4 highest combined Targets, Ongoings, and Equipments in hero decks.
Bunker 31 cards under Savage Mana
Unity 30 cards under Savage Mana
Captain Cosmic 30 cards under Savage Mana
Legacy 30 cards under Savage Mana

Also Haka's own cards because he sort of needs to be here.
Haka 13 cards under Savage Mana
134 Total Hero cards under Savage Mana

And the environment has 6 cards for Savage Mana.

205 Total cards under Savage Mana

Ground Pound can be destroyed by Haka outside of his turn through Hasty Augmentation, which is one of Unity's One-Shots. Segway into buffs.

+1 Damage from Galvanize
+17 from Haka of Battle
+2 from Hasty Augmentation
+1 buff from Imbued Frailty

For a grand total 429 damage in one smack.

Here's the addendum I talked about earlier though. The above implies only ONE use of Haka of Battle. If he doesn't deal damage, he can just keep playing them. This actually narrows down the setup to actually being possible if you stall the game forever (Legacy with Lead From the Front and Next Evolution vs. Gloomweaver where any card that deals something other than melee damage under Savage Mana.) So as long as Haka never deals damage, he can keep discarding 39 cards off Haka of Battle until either your gaming group just say you win (physical copy), or you build up enough damage that when you go to attack, the game crashes (video game copy).

That said, I'm more than open for people to discuss methods of topping this "One Haka of Battle Play" setup above to squeeze out one or two more damage.

You can get any amount of damage you want with Absolute Zero with Isothermic Transducer out, either Twist the Ether from Visionary on AZ or Imbued Fire from Ra in play, and Fixed Point from Time Catacylsm. AZ deals himself any amount of damage changed to fire and keeps hitting himself which gets buffed again with each hit. Then you hit an target for their entire health.

Another one I saw recently posted on Reddit involves the new F5 Wraith, Guise, and Parse. F5 Wraith uses her power, Parse plays Critical Multilplier, and Guise plays Uh, Yeah, I'm That Guy on Parse and plays I Can Do That Too using F5 Wraith's power. Then Guise or Wraith draws card, discards, and then chooses the other to draw a card who then discards and goes back and forth as long as you want. Meanwhile since Guise is copying Critical Multiplier each discard he does increases the next damage of a hero by one and between Wraith and himself he can buff damage indefinitely. So the next hit will take out whatever target you want.

Fight a villain who doesn't destroy ongoings/hero cards, and only wins by incapacitating all the heores, in an environment that doesn't destroy ongoings/hero cards, and doesn't have an alt lose condition. Have Visionary and any heroes with an incapacitated ability which increases the next damage a hero does (I believe AZ, Fanatic, and PW Haka give such a bonus of 2 extra damage each). Get Mind Spike and TK Cocoon. Go into the cocoon, and let the other 3 heroes die. Start boosting damage, until bored. Come out of cocoon, and blast an enemy for immense damage.

Powerhound, for your Visionary+AZ+Fixed Point pattern, if you initiate the attack with a oneshot, you can hit an opponent for however much damage, then use Coolant Blast on your power phase to deal absolutely massive damage (sum of 1 to n-1, where n is where you stopped the first one, which of course is about half of n^2).

One nice card to initiate it is Modular Realignment, which grabs that Isothermic Transducer from your trash and then starts the cycle. Therefore, all you need is the fire converter in play, and you can wait for Fixed Point with the Transducer in the trash (assuming you don't already have it out).

For the most fun, this combo can be done on AZ's second turn, if the cards line up right. Compare that with OP's original, which would take many turns to set up.

1. AZ plays Coolant Blast.
2. Visionary plays Twist the Ether.
3. Visionary uses Enlighten, AZ draws 2, discards IT
4. Env plays Fixed Point.

end round 1.

5. AZ plays Modular Realignment. Constant fire on self, then 1 on enemy.
6. AZ uses Coolant Blast.

Game over in ENV, round 2 (for most villains, anyways)

Setback can deal an infinite amout of damage too, just build up that un-luck pool and use high risk behavior... just dont get hit
