Team composition for Unity?
So, I love the idea of Unity, but I can't ever seem to get her rolling. If she gets a bot or two out they just seem to get crushed.

Anybody care to share a good team comp for letting Unity shine, so I can let the bot destruction reign supreme?

Anyone who'll let her play cards out of turn, whether off her deck or out of her hand. Bots can't be played during your play phase, but any time other than that is totally kosher! :D So Argent Adept, Parse Fugue State, Omnitron-X, KNYFE Rogue Agent, etc...

AA / Santa Guise / Visionary / Ra : Horus / Golem Unity

Gets you a bunch of cards and Santa Guise can set golems in play that can't be destroyed unless everything is. Ra makes you immune to your ability damage, so you can place Golems without cost. Visionary lets you find cards quickly, as well helping with Ra's immunity. AA speeds everything up, along with allowing plays outside of your turn, which means you can play bots.

TL Tach / XPW Haka / Greatest Legacy / Golem Unity / AA
Lots of cards, Haka can block a lot of damage, Greatest Legacy speeds up card draw or power usage, AA recovers from the grave.

Additionally, if you have AA out, he can counterpoint bulwark on stealth bot. Using Stealth Bot to keep other bots alive is very important, but also consider trying to fight villains that don't do much area damage.

If you want to get golems out the regular way, Sky Scraper has possibly the most disposible equipment cards. Fixer is useful for switching them out of bringing equipment back from the discard. Wraith has enough equipment that some of it becomes vestigial. Once Expatriette has the guns you want, the rest become unnecessary. Unity's variants also have alternative methods of summoning golems (My favorite being Termi-Nation Unity).

The (Basic) Sentinels also can help provide cover for your bots as well as healing you. A fun set-up has them, Unity (any, but I prefer Termi-nation so I don't hurt myself or an ally), Captain Cosmic (any, but XTREME is a little more fun here), Omnitron-X, and Rogue Agent K.N.Y.F.E. against a weak to moderate villain setup (vengeance or solo, vengeance can lean harder since they won't hit at once) in any non-Court of Blood local should be a comfy fight. CC's constructs in addition to Idealist help distract lowest HP targeting effects, KNYFE and Omni provide free plays and occasional equipment as needed. Medico, Omni, and CC can provide healing and support needed to let Unity really shine. This could handle rougher fights, but you wanted to see Unity shine, not have a good challenge.

Honestly, someone who can tank for the bots is more important than getting them out fast. Legacy, The Naturalist, The Sentinels, these are your best friends.

Wow! Awesome! Thanks for all the info guys!

Unity also have great synergy with Omnitron-U (unsurprisingly). She can play bots and trigger Volatile Wiring with Bot-Hack, and using Hasty Agmentation on Volatile Wiring gives a +2 damage every time it's triggered. That can makes a huge end game Singularity or Self Sabotage.

Does't matter for who, but if i want cards out fast for anyone: I generally use one or two of these: Omnitron-X, Rogue Knyfe, Argent Adept (most any version will work), Fugue Parse, and F6 or Super-Scientific Tachyon. All work for Unity too, especially as different ones draw from the top or the bottom of the deck, so they'll eventually find some golems.

The trick for Unity i've found is to have a tank character to soak the damage, or if none available, a tank golem out first. Then get the little ones out.

Also don't be affraid to sacrifice the Bee Bots on your own. Especially to take out an environment target that'll murder the rest of your golems if it goes off. Always target the Bee-Bots first if its an enviro target since the little guy should take out the damage dealer before it spreads.

Another useful combination is to bring Captain Cosmic along.

At 4hp, his constructs will draw "hero target with the lowest HP" attacks away from Unity's important bots (Swift, Stealth, Champion, Cryo, and Turret), while Unity can throw up lower HP bots (Dino, platform, bee) if Cosmic has important constructs out and you want to draw fire away from those.

More interestingly, Cosmic can stack his Energy Bracer constructs on Stealth Bot, and turn it from a thing capable of absorbing 1 damage into a thing capable of absorbing 4 damage attacks, which neutralizes the majority of threats to the bots.

And the thing with Unity is... Once her bots are protected from getting wiped out, they give her more damage output than any other Sentinel, short of infinite damage combos and such.

Energy Bracer should only work on Hero Character cards. If it works on Stealth Bot, that is a glitch seeing as it is just a hero target.

Hmm. I'll have to check it. I didn't actually attempt it in my last game because I *also* had the Sentinels along, and why would you give the bracers to anyone but Mainstay when Mainstay is in the game?
Kaldrak Jan 25, 2018 @ 6:26pm
You definitely can't put energy bracers on stealth bot. I thought it was a great idea too, but it doesn't work.

This doesn't mean you can't combine CC with Unity effectively though. It's surprisingly powerful if you're up against someone who destroys a lot of equipment and ongoings.

Aww, too bad. That really would be an awesome combo.

Explain why you prefer Termination unity? Seems useless base power for me . Doesn't help you get bots in play.
