Unlocked Hunted Naturalist.

I sort of followed what everyone else did: I did three battles with three different villains and environments (though I don't think the environment really matters) with Naturalist dealing the final damage to defeat the villain each battle in a different form. The heroes varied slightly in each, though I used Legacy and Ra (and obviously Naturalist) in each. In my third battle, however, Gazelle Naturalist dealt the final damage to defeat Ambuscade using Feral Fury, which did not result in any icon being activated, and I still unlocked it. This disproves the idea that the icon must be activated on the card to finish off the villain.
Just got it; The Naturalist dealt the final blow (as damage) to Baron Blade (Croc), Ambuscade (Rhino), and Chokepoint (Gazelle) then it unlocked.

To be more precise, The Naturalist needs to finish each villan with DAMAGE. I just failed to get the unlock because I killed a villan with Cornered Beast. Still, it's not as hard to set up as some past unlocks.

Does it have to be three different villains

Also can you trigger it all on on Vengance style game? These are the things we should test (for fun and profit :) )

It says "Each different villain". We can assume that you can't beat the same villain 3 times.

It would have to be 3 different games, and the Naturalist would have to incapacitate the last villain standing. Otherwise, I would have unlocked him after my Deadline game instead of after my Chokepoint game.

I tested for giggles and it has to be three different villians. Not a big deal but it just fun to keep beating on Baron Blade all day :)

Hmm, I got the unlock defeating Baron Blade as Gazelle, Ambuscade as Rhino, and The Ennead as a Crocodile. I am not sure if getting the hit on the last one would be enough, so I had Naturalist eat them all :)

Question: do variants count as different villains? i.e., Baron Blade and Mad Bomber Blade will count toward the unlock. I also wonder about Heroic Infinitor and Dreamer, not, I'm sure, that anyone's going to be using them to try...

Geez how the heck do people find these things? I always want to try and it always...seems like something impossible to just think up or see.

Except for like, G.I Bunker Young Legacy.

Variants are different villains. If you think you can win against the Dreamer by dealing her a final blow, you're welcome to try..

I admit Dreamer was on my list of prospective villains to fight before double checking to see that it specifies you must win the fight.
