What's this "Intervene" screen all about?

I'm trying to unlock F5 wraith so i'm playing a game with Legacy, tachyon, bunker, subzero and wraith vs Prodgeny in metropolis
It's fairly late in the game and i've gone through the wraiths full deck, with a decent amount of equipment out. Prodgeny is gunna be dead next turn.

So i put out my 3rd Mega computer and this screen pops up saying "INTERVENE" with a bunch of wraith artwork on it. I thought i took a steam Screen shot but it's not there so here's a link to it.

Anyone know why that screen showed up?

It's from the OblivAeon ARG. It was one of the clues that eventually led to the revelation of the OblivAeon mega expansion.

Okay, i dug through the wiki a bit more (and unlocked f5 wraith).

I wonder what triggered that screen to display? i've played wraith before and definatly had 3 mega computers out before.

The trigger is playing 3 Mega Computers in Megalopolis. It won't trigger in any other environment.

Interesting... I was aware of the ARG and followed its progress while it happened.
How long has this been in the game?

It was there during the start of the ARG

Cool. Never saw mention of it at the time (or if i did don't remember it)... and never had it pop up for me before today. But then i don't play Megalopolis so often.

IIRC it was the first part of the ARG discovered, and it was discovered by complete accident.
