A random, stupid question
Scholar's "Take What You Need" and Parse's "Quick Calculation" do the exact same thing, so why is the UI prompts with those cards different? In "Take What You Need" the Scholar reveals 3 cards, the player chooses one card to put in his hand and then another while the last card is automatically placed on the bottom of the deck. In "Quick Calculation" though, the player chooses which card goes on the bottom. Is it just because it was written differently on the cards?

The exact card text for each card differs, so the game's interface follows suit. Bring What You Need specifies putting 2 cards of the 3 revealed into the player's hand first, whereas Quick Calculation specifies putting 1 card of the 3 revealed at the bottom of the player's deck. That is why the game has you pick 2 cards when using Bring What You Need's power and 1 card when playing Quick Calculation.

It just seems kind of silly that two cards that do the exact same thing do it in two different ways.

They don't necessarily do the same thing, though.

Suppose that a villain or environment had an effect that said "The first time a hero card goes to the bottom of its deck each round, that hero's player discards their hand and draws 4 new cards."

If Parse plays Quick Calculation, you put a card at the bottom of the deck, discard your hand, draw 4 cards, and then also get the 2 cards from Quick Calculation.

If Scholar plays Bring What You Need, you get two cards, put the third at the bottom, discard your hand, and get 4 new cards.

Obviously this effect doesn't exist in the game at this point, but the lesson here is that you have to account for sequence interruptions. And this means coding the effects of all cards to follow their text precisely.

@Mitillos, you make a valid point. The fact that such an interaction doesn't exist yet does make it harder to really justify the difference but I understand the idea.

It could be a case of the devs planning ahead. Possibly way ahead.
I commend such forward thinking.
